Um, you have played the game. They end in a basket or a foul called for you 7/10 times against whoever. My team is 7th ranked atm with phenomenal badged up 90 overall bigs and people just run in and throw up horrendous shots at the rim to either a magic basket or a foul. We've had several games where we move out of the way and see what the game does and it will be a foul after the clipping. I assure you it is not random.

Considering that the people who are driving are "badged up" too guess what...something has to give. Again, we're using a fantasy mode to determine "realism" for the other modes and game overall.

Ya nice try, but no these people who are 60 overalls just jumping out to the park and pro am are not badged up and have no business making those shots. Please. You're not talking to a noob. I understand all the game modes and the rock paper scissors complexity of the attributes and badge system. And don't give me fantasy v realism, because it's a game at the end of the day. It's not going to be realistic. But it can be skewed towards lesser skill players to not put in the effort and time to be good at the game, to give them a feeling of doing something or false sense of skill. It happens. Doesn't make it ok for players like me though.

and your pro am team's experience has nothing to do with the clips in question...which is what I was talking about in my post. You kind if just took the word 'random' out of it and ran with it...

In my experience....which I've already posted clips of, I record all my H2H games, I show where these forced drives, (ugly clipping or not) end badly on a more often than not basis.

If you consistently see the opposite in Pro Am, I suggest you do the same...I don't play Pro Am...maybe in that mode clipping plays more of a part in the outcomes there...

Feels like we are talking about 4 different things at once though and trying to tie them all together...

It most certainly does.. They are clipping throughout. Dribbling and shooting.

Back up. You are going to get blown by every time irl if you play close enough to kiss the guy. Yea, theres some clipping and morphing and everything else..it's a video game. None of this is game breaking. It is very simple. If you don't want a guy going to the hole on you over and over you don't play an inch away from his face on defense.

The morphing isn't why its easy to get to the paint, it is easy because it is a realistic outcome that results from playing a smothered like D.

Is it ugly ?, yes ... should it be addressed ?, yes, by having more subtle contact animations that make the looks feel more naturally ... is it as is making driving more easily ?, nope ... at least IMHO ... and this is for either online or offline.

From this perspective the thread title might cause users to disagree, just like me ... a better topic would rather be: Why driving does not look/feels as realistic as it can be ...

I know it's not funny..I do like the fact I can drive..now without being called for a charge..but I think that might be the problem a bit,we can keep trying to get past someone until basically it morphs and allows us to drive..

I still prefer this over last year when Everytime you tried to drive ..or bump a guy a bit the called a charge.

In the end this shouldn't be happening.

Hopefully will be patched,but man all the problems that's going to be one tough patch..this needed to be addressed more Than sock/shoes/tattoos..I think this can. Be hotfixed

And? Are your opponents CONSISTENTLY hitting these shots during the course of a game? Are you losing to these teams? Are these games ALWAYS closer than they should? If those teams are somewhat competitive against your team, then it's your team that's not living up their badges.

Just because you post a couple clips of people hitting unbelievable shots every now and then, it doesn't mean that the game is suddenly broken. Call it for what it is...a lucky damn shot.
