I think the badges should be bronze level. But I'm sure these badges were left over from his rookie when he averged 1.7. He was sixth in the league that year. The following year he was 13th in the league (at 1.3).

The teams due "official" listing of heights and weights at the beginning of training camp, so I doubt this changes now.

A lot of players have inaccurate height and weight listings throughout league history.

2K is known to inflate ratings (in this case defensive), so they can reach an "overall" rating or benchmark.

He isn't a good rim protector even if he averages a good block rate/per game average. Defense is about more than just either statistics or the "eye test."

Wiggins and Towns have both been piss poor defenders through their early careers, so getting "good/great" ratings in those areas are unwarranted.

But we aren’t saying this off 4 games it’s in general he got boosted in areas and given badges for things he’s poor at . This is more than a 4 game thing he has a 2 year sample size of bad defense.

It's kind of funny after watching the YouTube link if guys continue to think that he isn't Worthy of those badges.. I didn't necessarily agree with the field in there "KAT can't defend"

One thing for certain Karl Anthony towns is definitely a rim protector. If we were to Define rim protector I'm sure it's somewhere along the lines of a player that consistently challenges scorers around the hoop. Which he does and he isn't soft with it either. Now does he hold his opponents to terrible fg% and under 12 points a game.. No that's asking way to much from an interior defender ..

As far as stopper badge he shows he can nullify the best bigs , Whiteside, jokic, vucevic, Jordan, adams, gasol, nurkic, Tthomp, zaza, ECT badges are meant for the special talents & skills.. And towns is that guy

Want more defense watch towns vs okc the other night. He’s still young but his iq on the defensive end is poor . He’s an amazing offensive player but he has a long way to go defensively . He doesn’t know how to position himself on defense his feet on that end are blah .

Wiggins and Towns need to improve on that end before Jimmy and Thibs has a stroke

I am more lost then I was before by the 2 video post you just posted above. It's like you guys are saying they had a bad game. "Take the badges away!"

The first link he attempts a steal (I know some love to jump over this and call it bad defense. But in my opinion it's not. I've seen him make this steal before and go coast to coast. And then as he tries to get back into defensive position he slips on his teammates foot and leaving his man (AL) wide open. And your saying that's bad defense?.... Man people are ruthless around here.

The second link is even worst... because the PG slips the pick and roll (by far the worst thing that can happen on a pick and roll. Because now he's got a straight line to the rim). And Karl comes off him man and vertical contest. But the guard slides by for the easy layup. You can't blame him here. WTF lol.

The first link... You can chalk that up to a bad gamble. But I can tell you no other big (expect maybe AD and someone else I'm not thinking of. lol) in the league would of got back into position like he did he. He just slips up. You could even say that was bad communication between Kat and Wiggins.
