Re: 2K Needs to Fix Bump Steals
Hmm I've only played offline on all-star difficulty but I haven't had ant issues with the CPU running into me to get steals. The situations I see steals and loose balls most often is when dribbling in a crowd but that should be expected.Comment

Re: 2K Needs to Fix Bump Steals
Screw it, I'll bite: There's a difference here. You can come up with as many silly phrases as you want, but this game plays fine aside from the price gouging microtransactions. I'm not apologetic because when they need to be called out, I'll gladly do so. The problem is that a subset of people take issue with others having a different of opinion. Instead of constructing an argument, these people latch on to buzz phrases(in this instance, defenders) in the hopes that they can get a mob mentality going that will ignore common sense or actual discussion.
This is politics 101. This is how we have our current president. This is what you do in every thread you're in. It makes me wonder, is it worse to enjoy this game, or worse to be so mad others enjoy it that you have to stir trouble in every thread. I'll gladly debate any of these issues so far with you, like an adult. Judging from your history that won't happen, but offer is open.
What did you add to this thread? Nothing. You popped in to stir trouble. If you can't add actual discussion, then why post?
I don't care what you call me, As long as you actually bring something intelligent to talk about in the threads you keep derailing.

It's beyond annoying as hell to see others with some stupid basketball elitist attitude constantly being condescending when someone brings up an issue. I've been playing 2K for over a decade and yes, it's a good game, but it's physics are never balanced and what happens on one side of the court is completely different on the other side. It's beyond annoying to call the game perfect when it's anything but and when guys want something to change for the better, they're again belittled. I've seen it countless times here as if some guys are being paid just defend the game no matter what's been brought up. I actually do bring up valid points, help, and constructive criticism, but I'm not going ignore the snobby attitudes and defending the game at all costs either.

Re: 2K Needs to Fix Bump Steals
I'm off topic from the OP.
This, at least what I see in the video, is not my issue.
I agree that what I seen in the video is a case of overactive turbo.
I apologise for getting off topic.

Typically awg knows what he's talking about as far as pro am. So I'm willing to wait for some more evidence so we can figure out if it really needs toned down, or if people are playing stupid.

Re: 2K Needs to Fix Bump Steals
Like I said before I was off topic.
I misunderstood what the OP was saying.
I don't want to derail a thread with a different issue.

Re: 2K Needs to Fix Bump Steals
I get what they're daying, and in previous years it was real bad. But you also got locked in quicker. I've been able to pass out of doubles in pro am, but there's always a fine line. I haven't encountered too much that I haven't been able to deal with yet, but that's why I ask for video or something. If it needs to be fixed, it needs to be fixed. I just want to make sure it's an actual issue before we go patch crazy on stuff.

Re: 2K Needs to Fix Bump Steals
I also have no issue talking as an adult but that doesn't happen here either. Whenever someone has a legitimate issue or concern, alot of users here will belittle players as being low IQ players, don't know what you're doing, or will just ignore your complaint altogether by misconstruing what you've said. See above. He talks about players running into him and making him lose the ball and others have turned this conversion into him running wildly into others when that's not his point.

Case in point, there's a particular user on here who posts a hot take "2k is trash" thread after every game almost. Did it all last year. I honestly think 17 was bad, but it wasn't as bad as he made it out. Granted I'm also positive he's like, 13, but I digress.
My main thing is that I don't want end up in a situation where a guy complains because they made a mistake, but any discussion is met with "You're just a 2k apologist", instead of talking it out and getting a solution

Re: 2K Needs to Fix Bump Steals
That would normally be a blocking foul in real life. It's not football, you have to actually go for the ball.

Re: 2K Needs to Fix Bump Steals
Absolutely. I have no problem with your narrative here, other than I can see it popping up on reddit and anywhere else people who disagree with one another post. My issue is that the last 2 years I've watched good games be destroyed with patches because some people are, simply put, not good at basketball.

without being jumped on 5 to 1 saying the game is perfect, you suck.
I get you don't want things to be patched to death, and neither do I. I would rather have the game well tested before release but it is what is. Some things 2K does are amazing, graphics, smooth animations, great playing modes, all that. But what my real issue with them is that things are never balanced or consistent in terms of gameplay, or specifically physics.
I'm with the OP about losing the ball when someone runs into you. One, because that doesn't happen in real life consistently because this isn't football; two, it's usually a foul if it ever does happen; three, your player should be able to protect the ball better; and four it's extremely toned down when playing the cpu.

Re: 2K Needs to Fix Bump Steals
Superstar default sliders has ball security for cpu on 50 and user on 30 ..there is your problem .
That there makes users lose the ball quicker while cpu has it on a string dribbling through bodies and not losing the ball.
Adjust those sliders and you'll see a healthy change.
I have it on 40 both user cpu . 2k out the box sliders never were satisfyingPsn : MORO79Comment

Re: 2K Needs to Fix Bump Steals
Fair enough. Since you're vouching for him, I'll leave it alone. My bad. I've been playing a lot more ProAm and Park this year compared to previous years. The hot dogging is still bad this year, but I'm don't feel "invisible" like last year. Honestly, most MyPlayer users that I've encountered play with such high level stupidity. I'll never understand how people can have a full view of the court, and still miss the easy past in order to shoot a terrible shot. When I get on a ProAm team with people that play the game as it was intended, it's a thing of beauty. I created a second MyPlayer (6'1" - Defender/Passing - PG) to show these online knuckleheads how to handle the rock and get your teammates involved.
Last year, I will agree the ramming was terrible.

Re: 2K Needs to Fix Bump Steals
They do this alot in the park, it's not real defense.
They run up to the ball hand and just stand there and the ball pops out.⛹🏽💀

True, I apologize for the 2K Defenders quip, but it becomes more and more evident that you cannot say anything bad about this game on this forum

I feel that NBA 2K18 is another great game out of the box, ESPECIALLY with the new game engine. I'm not saying it's perfect by no means, but I definitely want 2K Sports to leave the gameplay alone as much as possible. Due to the new game engine, I've playing much more ProAm and Park this year. It just AMAZES how many people really don't know how to play true basketball, and it's really about hero basketball. I don't trip too much about Park, because it's The Park. ProAm...naw, some dudes need to learn to keep the streetball garbage in the Park and know their role in a team concept.Comment

Re: 2K Needs to Fix Bump Steals
I created the PG, because it's interesting how many people are getting killed by the PG in ProAm. Logically, being a defending/passing PG makes sense. There are soooooooooooooo many slashers/finishers/athletic/3PT players, there's no way you CAN'T average 15 assists a game in ProAM. Also, I'm a strong believer in stopping the point of attack which is normally the PG. Lastly, you get other players involved, they're more than likely to stay engaged for the entire game. I got pissed off when game, because my teammates keep jacking up 3's instead of feeding me for mismatch. I'm a willing passer, but let me eat what I kill every now and then, lol.Comment
