First year I have enjoyed HOF and not felt cheated...difficulty level is tied to ACE now...superstar and hof the cpu makes more adjustments throughout the game...HOF = Full ACE adjustments according to da_czar

It sucks because contextually you'd want your guy to recognize that he cannot dribble with the right hand as there's a defender right there, but the issue in this video is you launched INTO the defender. That SHOULD be a turnover.

Edit: Rewatching it, he definitely does run into the ball, but it wasn't a clean launch with the right hand. Definitely should've used a left stick launch to cross to the clear hand

I agree 100%...the ball should be tangible and that definitely should've been a turnover. Only other alternative in that situation is to have the ball morph through the defender and leave the lane wide open and I hope that is NOT what we want.

I also like the fact that I would have to switch hands myself, that means I'm in control of my player and not depending on the dreaded "auto animation" but I do get that player awareness rating should make some things happen automatically through animations.

looks like live ball to me. Westbrook took off with right hand after catching the ball and ball hit curry causing turnover. I think its becoming evident people dont like Live ball in video games because thats a legit instance.

I'm going to give this a try this a try it should help limit my turnovers I lose the ball often but I see why now. This reminds me of the live ball animations that were on 2K12 where players would lose the ball due to contact.

I see the issue and it is and isn't your fault. When Westbrook asked for the ball back from Melo, Westbrook was clearly ahead of Curry. But the pass and and catch are so slow, by the time you moved, Curry literally just slid back in front of you, which is not realistic.

When you caught the ball, Westbrook was still in front of Curry, so realistically Westbrook should have been able to get to the rim unabated. But 2K sliding defense kicked in, alongside the auto switching hands, and voila, turnover. I honestly don't see how everyone missed or glossed over that. It's clear as day to me.

Edit: Looking at it again, Westbrook shouldn't have been able to get to the rim "unabated" but he is a step ahead of Curry, and I can see why you tried to go to the basket. Ultimately, what did you in was switching hands, which I'm sure you didn't try to do.

Christ. The live ball physics on 2K12 was an overkill. You could block shots with your armpit

I just lost the ball at a crucial point of an OPN game while holding post up/protect ball out on the wing. So much for "protecting it."

I don't mind it. It's annoying when it happens to you but 2K toned down on ball and offball steals so much, I'll take it.

True but just bumping someone on a fastbreak doesn't make them lose control of the ball. Also even decent ball handlers don't totally lose the ball in the traffic. The one I especially hate is lead pass not being caught clean when no one is in front or on the side of them. I've adjust my game to account for these things but it's annoying. And I don't want to adjust sliders because I like to mimic online rules/play when playing offline.

It dies need tuning. Sometimes I would be open and catch the ball. Then when a player would try to close out he would sprint and try to run through me causing my player who hasn't dribbled and was standing perfectly still.

Its also worst when you have a help defender who does the same tbing to you.

i hope the op knows, thats not a bump steal. what just happened to you should happen to everyone EVERY TIME. I love that video.

If you dont protect the ball. You deserve to get it stolen. you can't just stand there bouncing the ball in my face and not expect me to take it.

A bump steal like from 2k17 is when a guy RAMS into you the ball handler. Not your arm or the hand where the ball is. its when the guy runs directly into you and the ball comes loose or they never get charged with a foul.

How is that not a bump steal? His hand doesn't even reach for the ball. He stole it with his head and that's bullshyt smdh.

The real issue is not being able to protect the ball while facing up. You shouldn't have to use protect the ball button by posting up at the 3pt line. There should be some type of button that allows you to defend with your off hand while dribbling like in real life. It used to be automatic in older games if you had a high enough ball security, but now you have to use the post up button to protect the ball.
