I'm a 6ft6 210 Sharpahooting Slasher SG on the Blazers

I'm having fun. I let the CPU control the GM and Head Coach roles. I have it on user lock and I play on Superstar. I much prefer this pick up and play style compared to what My Player mode has turned into.

I offered my character the same badges and ratings my maxed out My Player build would have and I came out as an 87.

Good idea to use your Myplayer to cap your created player along with badges. I am going to do that as well. I was having trouble figuring out how to create a guy but make him good but not overpowering as a rookie.

Maybe I will max badges and make him like a 82ovr and watch him get better naturally throughout the years.

I put my 7'7 post up center from Hong Kong in a draft class, simmed two seasons and got drafted by the Lakers 9th overall. The team drafted Marvin Bagley the year before, so I got a young core with my player and Lonzo. Looking forward to turning this historic franchise around.

4 games in, we're 2-2, so there's a lot of work to do, but wow is this team fun to play with. Lonzo passes the ball 95% of the time when I'm at the right spot. He also loves throwing alleys to Bagley. I'm averaging 22 ppg and 11 rpg with 4 blocks, most of those points were from assists from Lonzo Ball. I'm using Eccentric Sliders and it plays great. Love this mode.

Just posting to support the Player Lock style guys. CAP this year is highly disappointing and takes a lot out of the mode for me.

But playing this style I feel like I am going out there to compete. Like I play on HOF and really work on my Jump Shot timing and animation LOL! Just wish you could watch the game from the bench when subbed out. Not going to invest in next years for this feature or when it arrives. I feel like 2k18+4k TV should last for at least 2 years for me.

I go in as a SG buck 180 and fast with a average 3pt and attack the basket game. I also select all teams and put the everything to auto. Incase I get traded down the line.

I am also thinking about doing the college route. There is a user here who posted a My League tutorial on how to create all College teams and go into a draft class. He posted a video but mentioned it's only for hard core franchise guys. I forget his name!

Current Sliders

I also use these sliders and found it challenging! But I found that my 180 pound player slides all over the place (Even with default Sliders). But when I am make him 200 pounds. He get's to the spots on the floor without over running the markers placed on the floor. But the trade off his I don't have the skinny body type.

Incredibly thankful for the amount of flexibility in the My League sandbox game mode. But this years CAP system is a huge let down! In some ways I feel like we are being punished but that could just be me.

This. I'm not forced to be from the hood with a ghetto accent, so this is a great alternative for My Career.

My player is a 72 overall sharpshooting/shot creating 6'5 SG, similar to Klay Thompson but can handle the ball and run the offense. He got drafted to the Knicks with the 44th pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. In 19 games so far, he has averaged 7.1 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 14 minutes per game shooting 44% and 37% from 3. The Knicks are 11-7 so far and Porzingis is averaging 23 ppg. He is a very good shooter despite this low percentage as most of his shots come off the dribble or are contested. I am playing every game for his career and plan to until he reaches 20,000 career points, which will get him inducted into the Hall of Fame.

The way I upgrade my player:

Points scored - field goals attempted.

For example, if my player has 15 points on 10 shots, then he gets5 attribute upgrades.

My minutes are determined as:

Points scored x2

So if my player has 8 points, he plays 16 minutes in the next game.

In my first season so far, the Lakers are 19-9, the best start in years. The team is a good fit for my center because of the shooters around me, and I've just been letting Lonzo run the offense, which has resulted in wins. This team has tons of potential, and it's been a blast to play with. The next Yao Ming has finally arrived.

I used his college roster last year (2k17) and they were amazing!! Everything was accurate and had the ncaa rent and for every single team! Of course I had to set everything up (add all the re-brands, which he listed so I didn't have to search... had to adjust all the teams/divisions.... but it ended up feeling like a complete ncaa basketball game, and not just a bandaid/add in to 2k!)

Just changed it! You're right we need more people seeing this thread and letting us know how their league is going! Speaking of I started mine before the season started. Wondering if I should start over. Hands down best way to play "my career"
