left righting hiding behind screens and just pulling shots with no penalty is weak. left righting the stick period is garbage the mechanics of the game dont even allow you to keep up with it. How does it even make it into the game of course it was gonna get abused

why all this love for sharpshooters? no pure build can dominate the way pure sharps can. sharpshooters dont miss at all, not sure why devs always cater to these youtube cry babies who are only satisfied when they see every shot go in. The game was fine at release and more REALISTIC.. now the shooting is bumped up and sharps are more over powered than they probably were intended to be. i stand in the corner with my glass cleaner make 3's on the regular im sitting on 68% from 3 with my glass cleaner in the park. now imagine the damage pure shooters are doing right now 2k..

Trying to get feedback from these youtubers is like kissing a snapping turtle on the mouth & the ones you guys do go to "annoyinghuh, redcityboi" etc etc are some of the cheesiest players in the game,, yeah they play the game all day but that dont mean the feedback is legit to actually make the game better And these are the guys you actually go into there streams for feedback so they can break the game more. I wish you guys let the game play how you actually want it to play instead of tweaking things for the corrupted community.

rant over.. all that was needed was fixing paint defense, removing left right, fixing the stage venue lagouts, competitive pro-am match making against your level comp, toning the shooting back down to how it was on release and fixing the frame rate on the original ps4's

idk if im going overboard with the post or if anyone else agrees but thats how im feeling about the game right now..

I haven't ran into any right left cheese like it was last year.

I have ran into some sharps that can nail shots, but nothing that made me think they were overpowered. I mean that is the only thing they can do. They get destroyed on the defensive side of the ball because they are so slow.

Not trying to offend you, maybe I just haven't run into any of them yet.

I feel ur pain brother. I just don't think the devs know how to do it properly. What makes me mad is most sharps think there good players because of it. I think eventually they will address it like year. In the meanwhile anticipate the off ball hand and try get ur body into them.

Yeah, and it looks like the patch made Sharpshooters godlike again ala 2k17. Seriously, any changes to gameplay should be done with the care of a surgeon and heavy testing. This is the bread and butter. You spent a full year on crafting, curating, and fine tuning the gameplay! Leave it alone, it was fine. Who cares what the rookies say, they'll adjust.

I don't know this for a fact, but it feels like the shooting became a lot easier at the time of the last roster update, even before the patch. These guys are making it hard to stick with 2K. After all the talk of leaving gameplay as is, again, it feels like the gameplay experience has been tweaked for the worse. If they are going to tweak something I wish it would be to make the game more challenging and realistic, as opposed to easier to accommodate children who complain when they don't hit every shot or experience any lack of success. The on-ball defense and defense in the paint are items that were a bit imbalanced at launch and can legitimately use correction. Shooting was fine, and now it feels very off. There should be levels in Pro Am just like offline so that people can decide what suits their style of play. Not fair to change game mechanics outright for that.

Couldn't have been said better like I said previously, 2k walk on is damn near impossible when you have one on your team. They don't incorporate any other teammates cause they just run back and fourth doing that ****. The sad part is they'll still keep you in the game gettin 60%+ doing that dumb **** as there primary objective just being player of the game. I absolutley hate it. I've been picking up on it a little bit defensively but they're still going to knock down a lot on you

it comes down with the flaws in the maximum cap/badges on archetypes design.

Sharpshooter has this 99 3pt rating + hof badges and nothing else, if u make best possible shooting to the realistic standard its straight useless archetype as it literally has nothing else.

Another problem is badges overlapping an already elite ratings. Why the hell do we need such badge like "deep range deadeye" when we already have "contested 3pt shot" rating . When archetype gets 99 contested 3pt rating + hof deep range deadeye you basically boost his shot with a contest.

My experience playing vs experienced squad with pure sharp - We try our best in switching on every screen and cross run situation , but even if we contest every single 3pt attempt , pure sharp still hits 50% of his 3pt shots.

I think that's the problem and I said it last year after Mike Wang put out that Twitter poll asking people what they wanted the shooting %s to be.

They don't seem to know what they want the game to be.

I started playing 2K since the original on Dreamcast when it was clear they had a firm idea of what they wanted the game to be, and not be, and they did what they needed to do to make it that way to appeal to the small core audience they were going after. Now, with the user base as big as it is, and with no real competition, they just throw micro-transactions onto everything and build the game around getting people to buy VC to upgrade players and buy packs. How much change have we seen in the modes like PlayNow, MyLeague, and MyGM where you can't spend VC (yet), NONE!

They are also just developers/coders, many of which who may not know much about basketball and need to rely on input from the community, which can be a great way of improving the product, but it seems the people they listen to are 12 year olds on Twitter and Youtubers with vested interests that are very different from the core user base.

We see what happens when they add knowledgeable and passionate community members like the Czar to the team. After he joined we saw things like freelances, great improvement to plays, and much more offensive freedom, which made the shortcomings on the defensive side much more obvious, and it continues to get worse as the offense improves every year along with hardcoded boosts in every patch, and the defense stays the same or gets worse by comparison.

Very doubt that , i shoot better with sharp+playmaker (gold shooting badges) than with sharp having hof badges and attribute boosts of 2k17 .

Or Maybe its harder with 60-70 3pt rating which i haven't tried yet.
