Either sharpshooters are getting better badges (which cause OP shots) and we're seeing the fruition of that, or an update improved heavily contested shots. And not just arcade park, seeing this in walkon pro-am.

In the last couple days especially, I've seen HEAVILY contested shots go in way more. 2 guys on them. Or super long range shots like it's nothing.

Of all the sim aspects of gameplay, heavily contested shots should be the no brainers. If HEAVILY contested shots, aka pretty much the best defense you can play, are going in, it is really completely demoralizing to realism.

Here are the people who are complaining that their heavily contested shots aren't going in enough --> kids on twitter, noobs, and people who belong on NBA Jam. Reward basketball iq, not the crybabies who think that just because they found 'the best cheesiest shot ever that goes in every time!', that shot selection shouldn't even matter..

I've seen it earlier in the season, seems like it triggers when you have multiple updates to download....

Game feels exactly the same as it has been, otherwise...think the update screen just psychs guys out...

I haven't played with this update yet but I figured this...I don't let these type of threads sway my judgement, Im a play for yourself and see type person but Im glad you're saying it feels the same.

I think it's always best to close the game out after a roster update and restart, I have experecnce irregular game speed, shooting etc that caused me to question if they screwed the gameplay up, but after i restarted the gameplay when back to normal.

Good stuff to know...after the last patch I posted on the forum and said the game speed felt perfect but alot of people disagreed with me, maybe this is why. Before that patch players were moving around the court superfast like ants but after the patch the pace for me has been GREAT. Haven't played with this update yet (ps4 offline since last patch&#128521

People want a SIM experience but complain about a heavily contested shot going in every now and then, I don't get it...NBA players take and make alot more contested shots than you think, I guess the live tv camera angles decieve the eyes at times lol

I'm talking the defender blanketed all over the shooter, where people are asking "how the hell did he make that! crazy!". But also, it's a videogame with cause/effect formulas that should happen. Players should get rewarded or good defense, period. It's a lot more Sim to defend the position that contested and especially HEAVILY contested shots should miss, because unless your a GOAT shooter/scorer named MJ or Kobe who routinely made difficult shots, it shouldn't happen. Even for the best shooters of all time, they aren't making HEAVILY contested shots.

Players make contested shots in the NBA, not a a ton of heavily contested shots. I understand where you're coming from and I agree but Im speaking about the extremeist (if thats a word) that say either "open shots should go in EVERY TIME I get a good release" or contested shots should be a miss EVERY TIME NO MATTER WHAT. This whole debate is why I wish 2k would go to RATINGS deciding the outcome and get rid of these shot meters, shot feedbacks, badges, green releases and whatever else they use to make it even HARDER to balance the game. I mean 2k has 8 million badges and then you throw an automatic green release on top of that lol.

Geez...what did they do for this update? Now I can't even change shoes in mycareer. Im stuck wearing the 2k generic shoe after trying to change shoes. And I would crash out of the game after my second practice drill. They just cant ever patch things without creating more problems.

Exactly my issue here very well explained, for like the last 3 years i've come accross this irregular speed changes, shooting, movement and all that jazz. This HAS to be adressed by 2K i don't know what they do yet i believe they don'T know that too either so there is THAT big irregularity after roster or game updates etc. as the game gets a lot of daily updates starting with this generation the irregularities is at its highest. I hope that Mike is still investigating this thread and see the posts. It's not about 2k18 it's about all 2k's since this generation of consoles.

I just played a finals series against the cavs in mycareer, and Lebron got injured in game 1, so they are back in.
