          B-Fresh is worse than Orange Juice from 2k17 and the whole Spike Lee story from 2k16 combined

I cant imagine it would be all that difficult to give you atleast 2 or 3 different scripts. They need to remember, not everyone who plays this game, is into hip hop crap wearing you pants around your ankles lovers

            Come on now. You can express your difference of opinion in music without calling it all crap and definitely without throwing out a stereotype about pants around your ankles. I love rap. But I have absolutely nothing to do with gang culture, or basically any stereotype you could possibly associate with rap culture other than the fact that I have a big sub in my car. Music is music. It can be what you want it to be. I also listen to rock, pop, country, EDM, classical music, and basically anything someone plays for me. Depends on my mood, and the season. Live and let live. ✌️

            Oh and side note, not everyone who likes the NBA likes rap. But there is a ton of crossover between rap and basketball. So it kinda makes sense for them to try and cater it to the majority from a marketing standpoint.

            Oh and yeah they made her head way tiny.

            Lol just realized how old this thread is. Those months later bumps got me messed up. Oh well, my point stands. I’m surprised nobody else called him out on that stereotyping.

              Re: B-Fresh is a real person....

              prelude=free

              2k18=buy
              create a myplayer=free
              you want to be able to compete from the start=buy money
              you want to have moves and shots and not rock a brown shirt=buy money
              within one or two games you get offered a way to rock skill boosts which enhance your myplayer abilities...you want to play career or against the world with boosts=buy money
              want to get fresh shoes? you have to grind to get a shoe deal, if not=buy money

              I dont see a way that 2k allows you to earn alot of vc on your own within the game. at almost every turn theres an advertisement for something that you could CARELESS about starting with B-fresh and her Reeses Pieces eating behind always laid up on your couch. She a bum and leeches of your myplayer, she got no skill, shes not funny, and idk, she highkey is a character who is borderline cringy and offensive, but its whatever...None of us are in charge of these story modes, so if were counting on 2k19 being any different, either we as a community are dillusional, or we need to have a louder voice in regards as to how we want our games to be reflected moving forward.

              Like i'm sure most of you all know, 2k fits in ideas from previous years that it could not get in the last installment of its current games. I'm sure they brainstorm around november/december about what to put forth into their new games and by jamuary are in high gear on the next 2k, so if anything like storylines or other implementations are to be put into the following years game, we as a community should start writing our concerns right before the Holidays and a little after 2k drops so that the devs and the people close to the devs can see our gripes and get some of our ideas possibly into the next edition of NBA 2K.

                Does 2k even care about the quality of the game they release each year anymore? 'Features' like B-Fresh make me wonder. Surely at some point a member of the dev team would've at least realised that 'hey, this is a waste of the players time', yet it still made the final release because reasons.

                If I had to say something positive about B-Fresh, it's that she is only the SECOND most annoying character I have come across in fiction.

                  21% of the audience said B-Fresh was the best NPC in the game, as revealed by the Christmas 2ktv episode.

                    It was a multiple choice poll with no 'good' choice, and most people who did answer it probably answered for the free VC.

                      Spinelli, who is easily the least ridiculous and offensive NPC was voted last. A multiple choice question still provided 4 choices. You got the VC regardless of which character you voted for.

                      Admittedly, the poll was a bit like voting for the skinniest kid in fat camp, but a choice was made and voted for.

                        Worth noting: I played 0 games of MyCareer and had no idea who any of the characters were when I placed my vote (which I think was for this character, who I now loathe)

                          This is no big surprise to me..Considering all the money it costs 2k to develop this game on top of financially securing the rights to legends, shoes, etc. 2k does this to generate more income. I don't mind real actors in mycareer. The problem with mycareer is typically the poorly conceived story you are forced to play through. With the money 2k is generating they can get better scripts. Mature scripts with some realistic situations and humor..I'd like to see them present a 2k10 model as an option in mycareer with the combine and minimal cutscenes..
                          EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.
