Re: The “2K Bounce” has to be addressed
This:
Should come AFTER you do this:
Otherwise it doesn't mean much. I have no issue being wrong.
EDIT: I did want to test this myself though, here's all my jumpers from the first half of a HOF/5 min quarters game...no real focus on winning, jusy observing the rim interaction. Will post the 2nd half once its done.

Re: The “2K Bounce” has to be addressed
I think a more pressing issue is the sounds around the rim. Last year's additions sound terrible. The sounds coming from TV broadcasts sound great. I wish they could somehow use them, or at least try to replicate them.Comment

Re: The “2K Bounce” has to be addressed
I think 2K uses the bouncing to say that was a low % shot that made it, which is weird and bad imo.
That's silly as hell in terms of realism. You'll see almost all players in the NBA hit swishes or near-swishes where they hit the far side/back of the rim. There's rarely a shot that "spins or touches many parts of the rim" and the commentator will usually note it as a "friendly bounce or shooter's touch".
I think 2K should only tell you if a shot was good or bad through feedback in terms of like the popup message or whatever. Not actually showing it through "excessive bouncing".
Whether contested or not, most NBA players near-swish their makes and only clang their misses, with the occasional friendly bounce.
I hope 2K finds a way to fix this in 2K18 (not likely) or at least fix it for 2K19.Comment
