It freezes on me every time i play. there is no set place or time it freezes. it has froze in practice facility, it has froze outside practice facility, it has frozen in front of barber shop, it has frozen outside apartment. It has also froze while doing the gator aide reaction drill inside the training facility. I am on a ps4 btw.

Had another couple of freezes. One after finishing the mini hurdles in the gatorade center, and the 2nd during the 2nd Lillard cutscene in the studio.

I've had two freezes already this morning. Once I was standing in the main part of town by the statue. I hit triangle and went looked at the All-Star Game boxscore and it froze.

I restarted the game, got back to the same place (by the statue), opened up a text from KAT, and it froze again.

I've had a few other freezes before this (usually just standing in town or running somewhere in town), but I didn't see this thread until today.

I had many freezes after patch 5.

- During cutscenes (sounds keeps going though)
- While navigating on the menus
- While checking player stats, standings
- While just waiting in the hood

Patch 6 request, please fix the freezing.

It's happens when I try to do an exercise in the gym in Myplayer.

Ok thought it was just me. I am only getting freezes in the neighborhood running around; 3 times yesterday.

I wonder what they'll break when Patch 6 fixes the constant Playground freezing? I'm pretty frustrated by this point. How's everyone adjusting to the new green shot window?

It was really laggy in the neighborhood. Even to upgrade my guy. Now, I can’t even connect online. All my other games work fine. I’ll never understand how the gameplay can be great, but the bugs just kill me. I also had an issue like this on Xbox 360 with 2k14 the rosters wouldn’t update all the time.

Just FYI in the future guys, list what you were doing at the moment of the freeze. As someone with a degree in Computer Science, saying just "My game froze 4 times" doesn't really help any devs that lurk on here at all.

We have 9 separate instances of the game freezing in this thread and not one of them have been helpful.


Here are a few examples that you could use:

"My game froze in the Neighborhood while I was running past the Nike store."

"My game froze as I was in the elevator going up to my place when I selected MyCourt."

"My game froze when I tried to open up Bryan's text while I was in the Neighborhood."

The game freezes period. You dont have to do anything.

I dont play any of those modes and it still freezes.

I can't see any obvious UI/input relation to the freezing. It froze when I was in the store buying a Gatorade tshirt, and it froze when I left it sitting in the neighborhood doing nothing.

Froze a couple times in walk-on shoot around and the rest of the players disappear.

Looks like basically "the game freezers during....playing NBA 2K18" lol or neighborhood since it looks like it's been in multiple areas of the game
