    Bruh

I used to always think randoms did that trash crap on purpose but i seriously think some ppl just suck at basketball and they are so bad they can’t see the game the way good players see it

Like when it looks like a bum just ballhogged and ignored you he actually ignored you because he was extremely trash and has no idea how to have court vision

      Re: Dear Randoms...

Most randoms have no intention to pass from the jump unless they are forced to pick up their dribble. My biggest pet peeve is when you set a nice screen for a pick and roll and you're just standing right under the rim wide open yet the moron rather shoot a moving three with someone in their face. You can't teach bball iq

Today was a good day with a random. My friend and I joined this guy who was alone and we ripped off 20 in a row. He was 80 games under .500 and we helped him get to 60 under lol. He played pretty well so I guess he plays with lots of bad randoms.

          Re: Dear Randoms...

I played Walkon with a guy that would complain throughout the entire game. He eventually gave up and called me "trash" near the end of the game, we were down 7 with a minute and half to go. He rage quit, left, and then our team went on a run to tie the game, send it to overtime, and we won lol. Sucker not only lost out on VC but he wasted his time and his record is worse now.

There's also lots of crybabies on this mode. If nothing goes their way, everyone else is trash, no matter how badly they are playing.

I always take a picture of the final score and send it to them along with a private message after those games.

I usually say something a long the lines of "Thanks for quitting, bum".

A lot of guys need to be able to attack the paint in order to set up their shot. If you're down there hogging the space so you can get offensive boards, they'll never be able to force their defender to respect their drive because you are essentially doing it for them.
I've played with quite a few people in Walk-On/Team Up who would probably have their minds blown by this concept. "You mean ... setting a screen for a teammate who DOESN'T have the ball!?"

Also, if you have a big man who catches it deep in the post, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T CUT TO THE BASKET! You might as well just go double-team your teammate yourself! You're bringing your defender with you and clogging the paint. Even if you aren't an outside shooter, stay wide, and if he kicks it back out to you, attack the defender on the closeout. A lot of times you'll blow by him and get to the lane. Or (another mind blowing concept for people I've played with), throw it back into the post again. There's no rule that says you can only throw one entry pass in a possession.

I agree. I believe everyone in the community is to blame for this including the OP. I often mute my TV due to the complaining. Sometimes people have unrealistic expectations when it comes to playing the game. We expect every open player to make their shot else the user trash. We expect everyone to defend their man competently even if we have the worst defensive archetypes. We call people who dominate the ball garbage despite the ball-handling user possibly having way better handle ratings the yourself.

That tip has made me a lot better. Also, as a pure glass in proam, I find that its highly effective to stretch the D by staying around the corner 3 on some posesesions. It throws off the defense and you can get easy dunks by hard cutting to the basket from the weakside. Good spacing + easy dunks

                    Re: Dear Randoms...

Pet peeves for me as a Center:

-People passing me the ball as I’m running into traffic or setting screens on the perimeter. I probably have about 2.5 to 3 TOs a game and I’d say 70% of them is when I’m passed the ball as I run into a guy and instantly drop it or bounce pass it into a guy’s stomach as I’m trying to set a screen. The rest are missed break starters or when I get ripped coming down with a board.
-Smalls setting screens for each other on the perimeter instead of spacing. I’m a Two-way Rebounder with HoF Brick Wall and it’s annoying when I can’t set a screen because 2 smalls are trying to screen for the other small. I don’t exactly have a diverse offensive game with my build and I prefer to set screens and roll for easy looks or rebounds. Plus it leaves some space in the paint for everyone else to play with.
-Shooters running into the paint after a shot goes up for that tiny chance at getting the board. I like to kick out on offensive boards and it sucks when there’s no one on the outside to pass to. Plus if your matchup leaks out and the other team gets the ball, it’s an easy bucket in transition.
-Guys bailing out low percentage drives with fouls. I swear I’d have double the blocks I do if guys wouldn’t jump on homie’s back when he’s already penetrated. I can’t count how many times I’ve rotated just waiting for the driver and heard that sweet sound of my hand on the ball only to hear the whistle a second later.

                      Re: Dear Randoms...

                      Floor spacing.....

This is all 2k's fault....all centers should be able to hit 3's at a decent rate, regardless of archetype, this would make users more confident in spacing the floor and taking an open 3. As it currently stands, you have to make a Stretch big to be able to hit the three consistently, which is trash to me.

Most people who make Bigs, ultimately want to have their guys come out like Demarcus Cousins....Not Ryan Anderson. These archetypes are too limited. The lowest a big should be shooting threes is at around 30% from the line in 2017.
Teams arent drafting bigs who arent versatile. The days of the non floor spreading bigs are long and gone. 2k needs to have the archetypes and attrtibutes reflect that as well. Most bigs can step out on the perimeter and hit 1 or 2 3pter's a game without feeling uncomfortable.

Lol wait, so it's being a crybaby/complainer to call out or tell players with horrible basketball iq to try something different? I'm not contributing to "complainign", I'm actually giving you some tips but your ego is in the way (first thing I listed). I wouldn't care if it were 1on1, but people need to realize if you sign up to play 5on5, everyone is trying to win. If you don't like being apart of that team dynamic (and have others communicate things), then maybe multiplayer isn't for you. What you call whining is actually basketball insights you can learn from.

                          Nah. I (stupidly) expect:

                          - To not have 8 or 9 out of 10 games (literally) be played with cocky and mentally impaired bums. I'd be fine with 50% of the games being decent. But literally 90% of the players on here have issues. That suggests a broader problem with the overall community, even if they're randoms.
                          - People who learn from their mental mistakes and will try something different if the status quo isn't working.
                          - People who are open to tips or insights instead of labeling it as "complaining" because they're too good for other people's ideas.

I shoot about 30% with my pure rim protector center when I use him in Pro am from 3. I hate centers that just live in the paint and think they have to be the focal point of the offense. So selfish. Then again that's 98% of people in walk on.
