If 2k is going to fix these Pro-Am/Online only issues, please only fix them online. I don't want my offline game ruined again like in previous years because of cheesers in a mode I don't touch.

The best way I've found to counter the snatchback is to release L2/Intense D, it disengages from contact animations when you aren't holding Intense D.Numbers 3 and four are the bane of Pro Am to me.
That snatchback is like the hesitation move I think in 2k7 or 2k9 where it would make the defender lose control everytime. Everytime someone does a snatchback 2k exgerrates the seperation and you know the shots going in. Also its funny how the offense can stop on a dime but defenders are subject to momentumComment

Why would 2k fix anything! Let’s be serious. Each year everyone grips about this game from A to Z and yet still no changes to the legacy exploits and glitches of the game. What is the purpose of putting in weight when a 5’9 guard and stop a centre. Why give proper definition of defence only to mean nothing so someone to just turbo down and do the hip animation. There getting their money thru false advertising and promising false hopes!
Someone stated don’t make changes to offline mode I guess that’s is where you feel the game is decent because god knows online is hell and 2k choose not to fix nothing!

I don't agree with the OS about the issues they said but I do agree that we need to have some legitimate issues fixed. The game is amazing but we really should have had the issue of CPU only calling like 1-2 time outs a game fixed by now and the issue of CPU not subbing guys in foul trouble out by now.Comment

Can confirm, tried this yesterday in ProAm against a shot creator who constantly used it to create space and shoot. With holding L2 you often get that "slowdown" animation reaction when your opponent snatchbacks and which in turn gives him the necessary space. If you dont hold L2 its a lot easier to close out. Makes you more vulnerable to ankle breakers though im pretty sure.Comment

paint defense still sweet and broken
snatch back broken needs a nerf
contested shot making to high and broken needs a nerf
post moves need a buff & still no shot meter on hook shots
blow by animation kind of cheesey and broken needs a nerf
layups broken needs a buff
the meter bounce back happens on occassions
3 seconds in paint broken(in park)
Timeouts when not in control of the ball broken
holding circle in the paint broken (pro-am)
passing out of shots success rate broken and needs a tone down

Be careful what you wish for.
The last thing we need is to have the brick wall defense that was in previous 2ks. Maybe if they could just raise the lateral quickness slider for online game modes, that would fix the problem.Comment

Good list, OP. Here are some other problems that I see every night in Pro Am:
-- Offensive 3 seconds in the paint is not called accurately. The game gives people more like 5 or 6 seconds before a whistle finally blows.
-- Right joystick dribble moves are extremely unresponsive this year and often don't trigger at all when you flick your stick, or they'll have a huge button delay that lags way behind your input. I think it's because the new motion system struggles to cancel out of the left joystick walking around animations, and it takes too long before the game is able to transition into a right joystick move.
-- Also new this year is the ball becoming invulnerable to steal attempts and body collisions during right joystick dribble moves. Those right stick animations can literally put the ball right inside a defender's body and it won't get knocked loose for a turnover like it would in 2K17.
-- The dribbling stamina meter is still way too generous and completely tilted in the offense's favor. People can literally perform a dozen different dribble moves uninterrupted before they have to pass the ball or wait for their energy to refill. What happened to the 4 or 5 dribble move limit that we were promised before 2K18 released? Faster stamina drain during dribbling would make the gameplay much more balanced and enjoyable IMO. The current system just encourages ball hogging and dribble spamming, not teamwork and ball movement.
-- Something needs to be changed with how the right trigger + right joystick escape dribbles work in this game. Right now, anyone can use those moves to teleport back and forth endlessly until their defender can no longer keep up and the shooter gets enough of an opening to fire off a shot. I think a good solution would be forcing the dribbler into a jump stop animation that causes him to pick up the ball after the first escape dribble is performed. If that was the case, then escape dribbles couldn't be chained back-to-back-to-back in an unrealistic fashion like I see all the time online, but people would still be able to shoot immediately after the first escape dribble if it gets them open.
-- I also support removing the pro 6 moving behind the back animation from the game entirely. The mix of speed and lateral movement that particular animation generates just doesn't balance well with how slow defenders are in 2K18.
-- Bring back the timing meter on hook shots and layups. I don't understand why 2K took away our visual feedback when there's still an accuracy bonus for timing these shots correctly.
-- Please stop resetting our saved controller settings back to default every time that we join a new neighborhood or launch the MyTeam mode.Last edited by jyoung; 12-01-2017, 04:16 AM.Comment

The bold is what I wish to be fixed. Can we leave the turbo and cheese to MyCareer? If I play anything online, whether it be All Star Team Up, MyTeam, etc. there needs to be an implementation of basketball logic. - fix actual zigzagging (THIS IS CONSTANTLY MOVING BACK AND FORTH WITH THE LEFT STICK ONLY, NOT USING ACTUAL DRIBBLE MOVES 2K, SERIOUSLY IF CAPITAL LETTERS DON'T GET THIS ACROSS THEN I DON'T KNOW WHAT WILL)
- patch back in illegal screens, you fixed it in 2K16 and then broke it again the last 2 years - why?
- fix MyTeam players wandering around for 30 seconds before the jump ball which has been broken for about 3 years
- increase the actual speed difference of smaller/lighter players vs. 7ft plus giant players so there is much more of a difference and an actual disadvantage to being max height
- make sure we receive ALL VC in EVERY SITUATION and ALL THE TIME, if you're going to make the game such a grind/money grab
etc etc etc. Half of this **** has been broken for nearly half a decade now, and still doesn't work right

Increase the FATIGUE RATE online to like 57-62 so if people want to zigzag back and forth, it'll tire out their player, and also deter the turbo nonsense.
Gamers should be running plays and looking for the best shot, JUST LIKE THE REAL NBA! Not zig zag and turbo cheese all day!
And again, I wish for PATCH #7 to fix the lack of timeouts called by the Computer.Comment
