That was just horrible post play. You should've been punished. Holding the L2 button would've helped tremendously

Didn't know getting the defender to bite & proceeding to shoot was a bad idea. But I'll make sure to play back to the basket and attempt the broken sky hook animation with a 20% success rate. Good thinking!

I made a thread on this a couple weeks ago. Some people like that result apparently. I advocated for biting on fakes to be a foul call a large majority of the time but people disagreed because it could be "abused". So we have to deal with jump spammers being rewarded with fake blocks and steals when they mistime their jumps

What do you guys recommend? I really don't want to switch my play style by playing as a superstar slasher like Kobe or Melo.

Always do the finishing part of your up and under, away from the enemy.

It's not ideal, but it lessens these ridiculous bodyblocks

theres nothing you can do, the post play is this game doesnt work like it should, and zack, pump faking a defender into the air when your standing right under the rim is horrible post play? yah you dont play real basketball or you just dont play in the post in actual basketball, if anybody, let alone kareem abdul jabbar got his man up in the air with no help around and was standing underneath the basket? it would be some of the easiest points he could get in a game. I think some of the guys on here are more in tune with how these 2k basketball games work , and not real basketball.

the game recognized that horrible body blocks as stripping the ball.

the problem is the game doesn't have contextual stripping animation.

there's nothing wrong with his post play. Holding the L2 right under the rim?? what kind of play is that lol

Tbh once u get the badges up, they work pretty good in mycareer.
Made a mixtape of my games from yesterday, and i dont even have hof badges

And 2k basketball =/= real life basketball

The sky hook aint that broken tbh, just good timing and be relatively open.

Damn these thread keep coming up and it's no one searches around.

I'd like to close this thread. Serious guys... It's the same faces... This is simple mistiming/direction on the users part here.

I've said this many times as most people here know because of the 3 other threads on this topic. Once you get the defender in the air. You are in control of the whole situation. Just because you get the defender in the air. It shouldn't mean buckets. You have to chose the finish hand and when you finish. Yes some of these should be fouls in real life. But again you can't have it so automatic. But in it's current build. The offensive player controls the situation here. It's a video game. Checks and Balances

I just finish watch your video. Here is a great example of aoviding contact after getting the player in the air.

I seriously hope people can watch the video above. He's doing all the moves people have been complaining about. I'm sure he get blocked blocked once in a while because he made the mistake of going the wrong way.

Watch the defender is on his left side. And starts going into theleft skyhook animation and then he pump fakes (lucky the defender wasn't jumping). And then the defender jumpers. Thinking that he will go right up. But now instead of going right up into his chest again. He goes to the right side of the rim. Taking the defender out of the play. And then finishes very nicely.

Yeah sometimes i end up making the wrong choice or **** up the timing. But basically the moves are all solid
