technically if you saying there is a run being started and its predetermined in any way, that is a code programmed into the game, and could be called a comeback code. i mean, i guess the devs have to put something like this in the game, its just sometimes the way in which they do comeback is extreme.

But I think it’s silly when people say ‘employee of said game company that would be negatively impacted by admitting comeback code exists, said it didn’t exist, therefore it doesn’t exist.’

But it would be totally silly for a 2K employee to come out and say ‘yeah we programmed comeback code into the game.’ It would negatively impact the sales of the game, in my opinion. As well as game reviews. Who wants to play a game knowing it will artificially make you lose? Or at least almost lose?

If it did exist, said employee wouldn't say anything at all. It would hurt sales and erode customer confidence when the claim is proven to be false, via investigative research/evidence (of which threads like these are always lacking).

A video game producer voluntarily discussing how an element of a game works isn't exactly the same as an Actor giving an obligatory puff piece PR interview for a film (an artistic medium left up to interpretation).

DaCzar ain't Ben Affleck telling ya'll to see Batman Vs Superman because it's a smart film.

The whole devil's advocate thing especially doesn't make sense given that Czar isn't saying any of this under any official medium. He's going on his personal YouTube to make a video that's MAYBE gonna get a thousand hits and you think anything he says is gonna make a dent in SALES? For the #2 selling video game in the world? (not even including micro-transactions revenue?)

There may not be comeback code, but there are definitely predetermined outcomes of some plays. When the game physically cuts off one of my defenders fingers so I won't block one of their cheap shots, that's proof enough for me that the CPU determined it was going to score, regardless of what I did that particular possession. lol.

You can offset the "comeback" by switching things up and calling timeouts. But some possessions you simply can't stop, lol.
