The real main issue with the combine, besides bad teammates, is the slashers.
It's the one archetype that requires the least skill.
Just hold turbo and head to the paint. If you don't dunk on all 5 defenders, you're likely to get a foul call.
Slashers destroy spacing and take bad shots because they are OP and require little to no skill.
Not to say that there aren't good slashers, but they are few and far between.

By far the easiest position to get stats is Center. Just sit in the paint and you are guaranteed to get a double double.

Paint defense is STILL terrible, not necessarily because the user is playing bad defense, but because perfect right sick hands up defense rarely ever results in a miss.

Despite all of the flaws, bad teammates, and bad play I'm still having fun with it.
I hope the people that are evaluating prospects are looking at more than just stats.
I've seen way to many bigs holding B in the paint and sprinting down court as soon a shot is taken just to get easy buckets.

I'm hopeful that the league is a success, because I feel it will force 2k to fix some of the major flaws with the game.

I was just wanted to make that post but i saw yours.

Since last patch all i see on SF position is shotcreating slashers and all they do is playing like Andre roberson i swear i'm not even bother to guard them i helping insode and on the glass.

They still can make layups on 2-3people when it says good shot contest by me.

I'm sharpshooting shot creatot since the start of the combine its really hard, midrange game almost non exist but i provide spacing and can cut if they guard me to tight.

After last patch feel like shooting was nerfed even more cause my fg % start dropping.

I had 20ppg on 60% and 54% 3p now after last patch and 30 total games i have 17ppg 56% and 51% 3p

Rebounding is a problem also i have a lot of good position to grab a rebound but a lot of times center who is on the other side just jump and take it from me , feeling like i'm not being rewarded for getting good positions.

Regardless of my record this combine is just all around bad. I agree with the slasher post. That's all you see every single game. I used a Slashing/Shot build last night and dropped the easiest 25 points ever. May be my go to build from here on out since layup/dunk success is so high. Sharpshooters are extra streaky for me. Unless 2k has nerfed Base 8 and Base 11 I've been getting a lot of "Good" releases with no success whatsoever.

i'm glad you mentioned the jumpshots and good releases. I played with this guy yesterday in the combine who was a rim protector sharp. who was hitting those 3's. he kept clowning saying "but i thought everyone said you can't get greens... its a conspiracy. lol"

Then I realized, after using a rim protector stretch at the PF spot and bricking wide open 3's with full whites. That It is about the animation you choose like its always been. and they may have nurfed some and not others. So those people getting greens often with their shooters are choosing the green light animation more or less. which needs to be fixed if you ask me. if you're saying we all have an equal shot with these builds. then the same should be said for the shooting animations. dont make people have to guess which one is the green light one or make people go in and out of my player lab to try every jumpshot out. it would be one thing if there was a more simple way to try them out but there isnt.

and you are correct. slasher guys are scoring like crazy with big rim protectors all over them. its a bit ridiculous.

because you can modify the game mode. you may not personally be into that sort of thing but its possible. its not really possible to do that with the console version.

That is soooooo much harder to do than anyone could possibly imagine. people will just find a way. Being a PC gamer, surely you've seen how many new anti-cheat updates are constantly being rolled out in a lot of titles? It's because they take one thing away and cheaters find another way.

Looking at the e-sports scene, i see more pc games than console games.

Guess all those guys are just hackers.

I game on PC mostly and I only use NBA2k for modding graphically purposes only and not for competitive online play. You get lucky to even get some park games since not many play it. I have only played one game of Pro AM....absolutely nobody plays it. Hacking is also a problem since I have seen 7'3 300 pound centers run around like guards. Horrible....

The lack of sports games for the PC pretty much tells you all that you need to know about that scene.

I game on PC mostly and I only use NBA2k for modding graphically purposes only and not for competitive online play. You get lucky to even get some park games since not many play it. So why invest in something when the pool is so small. I have no issues with it....hell you're the only one here trying to make a case about it. What's that tell you?

Just adapt man. It is what it is. You can either accept it or not. Console + 2K is more popular because it's less LIKELY there's hacks. I had 2K15 on PC and it was a pathetic experience playing mypark with 90% of the players hacking or had a guy with 8 legs or running on his arms

I disagree. A company that takes in plenty of profits and has the pretence of positioning its product as an e-sport, should not that easily be absolved of their responsability to deliver quality to all their customers

2k just increased the playing time windows to accommodate overseas players having issues with long waits to find games.

Well look at it this way.....they can also skip the PC version entirely and just forget about us completely. I doubt they will lose much since NBA2k pretty much is the only BBall game out there that's selling. Yes there's Live but they got a lot of work to do to catch up with this beast.

No more OT from me but I would like to see some more vids of the combine. I want to see if players actually improved or not.
