I know exactly what you mean. I now started two MyLeagues. One was with an expansion team, one was with the Chicago Bulls. The combination of bad AI management and bad AI gameplay resulted in me being to good after only a short time. With the expansion team I was a championship contender in the 2nd year and with the Bulls I only missed the playoffs, because I tanked so hard and shut down my starting five after the all-star break, though LaVine was my best player with around 79 OVR rating and no one was close to being an allstar caliber player.
Like you said, scoring against the AI is pretty easy. On offense the AI just runs their plays without recognizing any missmatches and open space. Sometimes solid shooters are left wide open on purpose by me and they just don't shoot only to jack up contested shots with a winding down shotclock.

I have not touched the game for 2-3 months and I dont intend to do so.
The fact that you can blow by every defender with every given player makes no sense.
I intentionally played bad defense in the past to make the game challenging.

Definately won't buy 2k19 on Day 1.

The gane is not easy nor is it hard but rather the AI
Needs more development because its way below par ...its disappointing really the low iq and AI programming ...hire a team to work on it !

Definitely not too easy for me. Playing on Superstar (no slider adjustments), I've got a MyLeague going on the Switch with the Timberwolves and am 12-8 so far. Also have a MyGM on the XB1 with the Bulls and am 1-5.

I do agree that it can be too easy at times to drive by your opponent and get to the hole, but I try not to exploit that too much against the CPU.

I find it too easy too. I played myLeague with the Sonics
I started it with a
Dejoynte Murray/ Payton II
Lavine/Harris
Ross/Pondexter
Chriss/Marvin Williams
Hawes and a backup free agent Center and had an 8-0 start in HOF

I bumped up the difficulty by adding another 5 points gap in Offensive & Defensive awareness and Conistency in favorof CPU, raised the FT level to 60 and lower player 3 pt shooting to 45. Game plays much better. I get some last minute wins, I have been blown out once or twice and I have blown opponents once or twice

Mind that I am using probably the WORST team in NBA

EDIT: All CPU offenseive&Defensive awareness and consistency at 70, all player at 50. User 3Pt at 45, FT difficulty at 60.

sorry my English, if I understand correctly you made the following changes, awareness dif./off 70 CPU, consistency dif./off 70 cpu, shot from 3pt 45 user ........ Everything else as default?

but also keep Awareness and Consistency 50 for user (it is 55 sometimes)

I have yet to beat the cpu on Superstar, you can't make any mistakes on defense the offensive AI and shot percentage is OP imo, I can't get a stop. Help me please.

I think pro am is too easy . Can’t speak for everything else . But shooting shouldn’t be this high.

I play with some guys, in Pro Am, that haven't been good for that last two years. But now, this year, they are magically good. Hitting bad shots from everywhere.
The lack of defense overall has made bad players good.
The blow by animations, higher contested shots than open shots, paint defense being non-existant, and just turbo dribbling right into the defender with no risk of losing the ball has made bad low IQ players good.
