Which is Better NBA2K18 OFFLINE vs ONLINE?
I noticed a lot of users saying they want competition that PNO (Play Now Online) is not fulfilling their needs for competition? Which got me thinking? Are all the top players really good or really good at exploiting the game to benefit them? How about if they were to play offline and have another user in-house with them offline to play will they dominate them? That’s the question for today what do you think community? Is offline better than online what do you think?Tags: None -

You know, When I play family members and friends there is no BS. If you exploit the game. I don't want to play you. But when no humans are around. The only thing is online.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

I think that’s the hardest thing to replicate when it comes to sports games. When you got someone right there playing with you the game play is much harder because you can’t do the something you would do online versus offline. Yes, you’re completely correct when you got nobody around online is the next best thing. I just wish 2k would truly understand that fixing these problems with create such a better gaming experience overall.

a lot of people playing online winning games in any of the online modes are doing so purely based on the lag factor. there would be no lag if they were sitting next to you in your house. Some of them know this and laugh about it. others really think they are balling Lol but not realizing its a bad lag when they play others. This is the reason why that blow by animation works so well. This is why its easy for them to steal the pass. this is the reason why their opponents shoot so poorly.
I found out from a kid back in like 2k9 or even earlier about how he used a lag switch. i never in life heard of that until that moment. i was like what? what the heck is that? he gave me the breakdown sent me the youtube link for how to create one. i was like wow you can't be serious. He then told me how some guys that dont have one, use to start downloading Movies or streaming music on a computer/laptop in their house on the same connection while they were playing. Some did it and had no idea this was affecting game play. but others were doing it on purpose because they knew it would affect their opponents timing vs theirs. sounds crazy that if you do that it will mess with the timing of your opponent and not yours. So i tried it myself and bam it worked just like the kid said. So every no w and then if i ran into a super lagger with a crazy winning record. I would start streaming stuff on my laptop. and all of a sudden his laggy moves didnt work anymore. the side to side cheese didnt work either. because i was no longer ice skating as a defender. and I would beat them more times than not. most of the time they would quit before the game was up. not because the lag was so bad on their end. but because they have never played anyone that could stop their cheese. they did not know how to take a lose at all.
That was truly my first understanding of this new generation of online gamers who dont play for fun. rather they play to win AT ALL costs.
I asked this same kid, isnt boring doing the same cheese move when you know its cheese and not real basketball? He said..yeah it gets boring. but I aint trying to lose. I then said. Do you know why you play video games? he said what do you mean?
I replied. you are supposed to play them to have fun. thats why its called a .....GAME. WE are not getting paid for this. It's supposed to be competitive and fun. but all they think about is the competitive part. but they dont want to have a competitive game. they just want to win. this is how you have people that know how to make a game disconnect to they can get wins. so the leaderboard shows they have more wins. some are so desperate they have multiple consoles in their houses and they are playing themselves or a friend on dummy accounts to boost their ranks. it's sad to be honest with you. its supposed to be FUN.Last edited by splashmountain; 03-06-2018, 04:31 PM.Comment

offline = less exploit abuse and less lag which again translates into bad animations and things happening or not happening that should not have or should have happened.

I was like this can't be fun can it. I remember when I lost that competitive edge you were talking about. I was young and playing NBA Live 98. Going through their franchise mode or season back then. And I turned off all the options. Traded all the All stars on to one team and simmed everything....Yes I won everything.... But it was so boring.... After that night I never cared about winning. Because nothing came from it. It is just a game at the end of the day.
Nothing like playing offline line with friends and family.....Nothing
