finally it took 31 pages for both sides to understand each other. if i may next time for online users when posting your threads, just put online modes whatever it is. coz me personally if i saw a complaint thread and there is a online thing there i don't even waste time looking at it. but that just me.

It does mean a lot for views actually . That’s how these guys make their money. Fortnite is killing it right now . It’s the way for them to go at the moment .

fortnite has saturated the market to the point that you won’t get views from it. Stick to 2k videos IMO.

There is always going to be crybabies, that wont ever be happy, especially when it comes to many of the online players. Is the game perfect, nope, its has some pretty big flaws in a few areas, such as how there is practically no fouls on attempted 3pt shots, when we see it happen quite often now days with so many 3's being taken each game by teams. The issue, where as it seems as if you get to a certain spot inside the paint, the defender seems to slide off the player with the ball, , where as IRL, there would likely be a collisions, with someone falling to the ground, or a offensive or defensive fouls call. There is a issue with the lack of non shooting fouls, and lack of non-steal turnovers as well.
But as a whole, this is the best NBA2k, to date. Im a offline MyLeague only player, and while I have some complaints with the game, as a whole, its a very good game, and its getting better each and every yr.

Its never going to be perfect, especially the online play aspect of it, if you want a perfect basketball feels, then get off your lazy duffs, and go to the park or the YMCA, and play the real thing. This is a video game, its never going to be perfect. And quite frankly, if they ever do perfect a computerized game, to play and think exactly like humans, humanity in itself is in serious trouble

When it comes to sports games, the makers of NBA2k, are by far, and nowdays its not even close, when comparing it other sports console video games. And this is coming from someone who use to hold the makers of MLBTS as the very best in the business, till they decided to screw over us hard core baseball fans, for their fantasy casual fans, of their gimic mode, DD.
I was worried, a few yrs ago, that NBA2k makers, were going to go the route of the casual fans, and their gimic fantasy mode of MyTeam, and it wouldnt be long and Association offline would be a after thought, but I got to give the guys at NBA2k a lot of credit, they have continued to improve upon MyLeague, and its the deepest of any sports game made on the consoles. Really the only sports game I know of, that has them beat, would be the PC baseball game OOTP, which is by a long shot the very best simulation experience of any sports game ever made. It would be likely impossible for a console video game to get tha indepth, but NBA2k makers, do a pretty good job. Sure MyGM is a joke of a mode, that they seem to not be able to get remotely close to right each yr, but MyLeague as a whole, is very solid. Outside of a few stats, that they cant seem to get right, like team points in the paint being too low, and such, but there sim stats is a huge improvement from where it was back in the NBA2k11- thru about 16, maybe even 17, I cant remember exactly when it was, that they started getting it better in that regard.

So complain and cry all you want, but over the past few yrs, the makers of this game, have did a pretty darn good job, of putting out a solid game, that gives both us real die hard basketball fans of Association, as well as those casual online, and gimic fantasy Myteam mode fans.
I have been worried, that the devs were pushing us diehard baskeball fans of the Association out, and starting to soley focus on the online side of things, and the whole gimic fantasy mode. But after seeing what the devs of MLBTS have done, and their lack of effort on the franchise side of things, makes the devs and the offline side of MyLeague look pretty darn good. Atleast the devs of NBA2k, do continue to put effort on the offline side of things, when it seems this whole online stuff, continues to grow by the yr.
I know at times, I can be as critical as anyone of this game, but when you look around, and start comparing it to all other sports titles, you can see the devs do a pretty good job of trying to make both the offline Association fans happy, and their growing online side of things, and the casual gimic mode fanbase. Sure I have my issues, with the very poor ratings/tendency adjustments, or lack their of, but from a overall experience, you wont find a better sports game on the consoles to play. Its obvious that the online side of things from a business standpoint, makes them more money, than us avid NBA fans, who play offline ML, so it only makes good business sense, they are going to invest, in what makes the most money, after all that is the goal of any business, so I get it, but it is what it is. Just got to look at the postive side of things, atleast the devs still put effort in offline Association mode, because you look at both MLBTS and Madden, they no longer put much much effort at all in their franchise mode offline, or in Maddens case, they put zero effort in it,lol.
I guess that old sayin be thankfull for what you have, instead of complaining about what you dont have, tends to hold true in not just life in the real world, but also when it comes to video games

Did I seriously just read that the game can't be bad because of "sales figures"? This is the reason why films, music, gaming and everything else is going downhill. The fact that people think good sales = the best quality is extremely juvenile.

Oh ok. Remind me who 2ks competition is again? Its not hard to be the best selling basketball game out when you have no rival. it might outsell other games full stop, but all those other games have to compete against games in the same genre as them. Ones that are similar. 2K has no competition.

Fortnite is just a silly game, it may be fun to some people but if you were to ask pure 2K players if they even touched fortnite they would say what is fortnite.

How can you compare Sports video game sim with a game like that, I can see if someone was comparing it to another sports game or NBA Live, but fortnite?

That's like saying Mario Odyssey killed 2K because Mario Odyssey with the best selling game and Zelda killed it everybody likes their different genres, plain and simple if 2K got boring and stiff is because 2K did a horrible job with my neighborhood and the cap system and like someone else said the grind.

Well that's your opinion, I consider myself a pure 2k player and I can't stand 2k18 and for sure won't preorder 2k19. I've been buying 2k for the last 9 years and it has been the game I played the most during that time. I won a local tournament in 2k14 and won a mobile phone. I am a huge basketball fan and basketball is by far my favourite sport, I've been playing it constantly for the last 13 years for my local team and then college so you could say I am a pure 2k player that is basketball fan first gamer second.

I play almost exclusively offline, but started playing online more in the last few years.

And I got to say, I can't remember being so frustrated playing 2k as I get playing 2k18, moments when I enjoy it happens rarely comparing to the moments I don't like it. Every game would make me angry from time to time because I want to win first and enjoy it second but this game actually makes me shake my head because of how stupid cpu, especially on defense, is.

I don't think live blows, in certain aspects it is better than 2k for sure, I've tried it and it's really not that bad, I am really looking forward to see what are they going to do with live 19

And as of fortnite, I tried it recently and it is really a fun game and it is the game I play most nowadays,
I watch basketball, play it, but I won't play the game if I don't like it.

You know what has really hurt 2k18?

1) For xbox, SOME reason we can't share video clips. We can't upload video clips. Unless through one drive. Guessing this was to get people to use one drive. Dumb move.

2) Quit making the grind so amazingly unrealistically SLOOOOW. Predictably, they pushed it too far this time.

I just don't get why they took so much control of my MyPlayer out of the game. I don't have control over the animations like I did in 15,16,17. It creates an incredibly frustrating experience when you want to compete but are at the mercy of the AI as to what animation you're getting.

2K used to be a game that never competed with any other game for time on my Playstation. Now I'm back to playing Madden and honestly that sucks.

18 is the first year 2K has let me down personally. One can go through this thread and pick out the trend that offline guys and PNO guys are happy, perhaps it's due time; they've felt shorted for years now. 19 will probably be my last go if the product continues to short my control over MyPlayer. I still can't control which hand the ball is in while dribbling, and that is hard to accept.

Yeah I hate that this year. I agree that I never feel like I'm in control of certain animations. The whole thing where on some occasions I get a shot meter on layups and other times I don't is so annoying.

Offline the game is a master piece but thats only do tot he work of the roster and tendency guys on OS. Online its a disaster its not sim ball and I blame that on the 2k community not knowing how to play basketball so they play '2k" ball.

I checked out of Myteam I think around December it was unplayable due to a number of things.

Play now online is a cheese fest filled with people who play "2k" and not nba ball.

Again thank god for offline. With the gameplay I achieved this go round 2k19 will REALLY have to blow my socks off for me to buy it.
