Standing dunk is op and often requires help defense on the pass. However, I keep saying that post moves are not meant to be done near the hoop in 2k. You can do them outside of standing dunk range, but if you think about the fact that each players whole body is live for blocking, they are 7'3 and jumping, there isn't much room you to get the ball in the hoop. If standing dunks weren't their own animation, they'd be getting stuffed too.



If you have decent post scoring, you can score over people pretty consistently if you trigger the right animation. You can throw in hooks all day. Nobody is gonna block that by spam jumping. I played with a few post scorers and it really helped me to watch them, not be the post scorer or be guarding them, just be on their team.

Yeah they did post moves are pretty effective this year if you know how to do them. I was playing against one and those drop steps, hook shots, shimmies,and fadeaways are something serious
