I'll be honest, 2016 still has,the best gameplay of the of the 2k games of this gen.....2K17 was a really bad game, 2K18 was a little better....But something about the movement, Cpu defensive collision detection,and the speed of the game just seems off on 2k17 and 18. NBA 2k16 is still the best game IMO.

Anyone still uses 2016 as their main 2K?
I like 2016, but the introduction of the rotation feature in 2017 have me pick the latter. Both have the flaws. For instance, 17 had the players cluttered in the paint when a floppy play is called. 16 had the nice crossover animations canned with patches.
The cpu substitutions were horrible too, where i see the star players were sub out in the middle of 3rd quarter and then play the entire 4th quarter. This, have me picked 17 more than anything else.
Edit : 17 is so much fun with custom sliders and proper game speed adjustment

I occasionally go back to '16 & '17 just to remember what a game felt like without instant blow-by dunk & layup animations every possession.Comment

I do because the Points of Emphasis actually work. I can put it on auto and watch the coaches game plan change based on personnel, it's actually a thing of beauty. It's just sad that they messed up a great functioning tool in 17 and 18.Comment

NBA2K17 for me as it's the last game you could do Coach Mode. Won't buy the game again until that is included.Comment

Live and die with 2k16. Traded both 2k17 and 18.
