Hi man, yeah I remember our conversations. Playing CIV VI atm, really enjoying it, but I need my sports game, and as a huge basketball fan, really a passion of mine, I need my basketball fix, maybe 2k19 is going to be it . Maybe I'll look into buying a soccer game aswell, I am from Croatia so I in a way feel obligated to like soccer/football

Normally I tend to agree with what you say, but My League/Association, has had its issues for many yrs now. Mainly a crappy sim engine, that hurts the mode, due to unrealistic stats in some areas. I will say it has improved over the past couple yrs or so from where it was back in 2k11, thru about 2k14, but still needs some work.
Every yr the devs say they have worked on improving draft classes, yet every yr, they are pretty poor, to where you have to edit them, thats if you dont use edited custom DC's.

Then you have the issues within the management side of things with contracts, or so I have heard. I spent so much time trying to fix the broken sim stats, and constantly messing with sliders to even actually get going in ML, as about the time I thought I got my sliders where I wanted them, they would put out a pacth or update that messed with gameplay, to where it was back to messing with sliders,lol. Although I can handle the constant slider adjusting if thats all there was to worry about, its all the time spent editing trying to fix the sim stats, that by the time you feel your getting it close enough to start your Association, its baseball season


Maybe 19 will be the yr, they finally fixed the sim stats. The biggest gripe I had with gameplay, outside of the timeouts by the CPU issue, and the issue with the CPU poor management of foul trouble, which has been a issues for several yrs now, was the lack of shooting fouls on 3pt attempts, as they were basically nonexistent, other than a rare one called once in a while. Oh and there is the lack of non shooting fouls, and no steal turnovers, that get annoying with gameplay.


18 did a lot of good things, so it not all bad, but as a offline only player, who only really cares about MyLeague, it gets frustrating, seeing the same issues plague the game yr after yr.

Now Im sure those who arent OCD about stats, its much easier to overlook these issues, and get a lot of enjoyment from the game. I wish I wasnt so OCD about stats, and some of the other issues.


Hopefully 19 will finally be the yr the devs put it altogether, but considering these issues have been a problem for several yrs, I can see why some people say they are going to be more cautious about buying the game. I use to say that every yr, but then get caught in the hype and get it day 1,lol. So more than likely I will get sucked into it again this yr Although I didnt give in to MLBTS this yr, but I had OOTP baseball to fill that gap, there really isnt a good text sim basketball game, so my only hope is the devs at NBA2k put it all together


Also hoping they finally make the darn court bigger, that or downsize the size of the players, although I prefer the court be bigger, as this is one area where they dont do a very good job in replicating the space on a court, to the size of players.
