Maybe I'm getting old but playing an hour plus Madden franchise game is brutal at times. The last 2K I bought I kicked around an idea of only playing the last 6 minutes of each regular season game (that isn't a blow out) but it didn't stick. There are a couple reason I wanted to use this method: 1) An article came out that basically said only the last 6 minutes of an NBA game matter (from a statical/gambling perspective). 2) To shorten the season and game lengths drastically. I think I may try this method again this year. I want to be able to have meaningful input throughout the season and stay connected to the league but I also want to play through a bunch of seasons too (even more so with draft classes). Hopefully this will be a good balance. I'd also play every playoff game for my team.

Anyway, interested how others play through their MyLeague.

I use player lock. I use create a player to mimic my career. Play PG 91 ovr (my last my career player from 2k14). Use advance rotation to play 33-36 mins a night so I get subbed in/out accordingly. Play a 29 game seasons at 12 min quarters. Playoffs format 3-5-5-7. Build a franchise around my character. This year im thinking of going with either Cle, Orl, or NYK. Not sure yet. But I do wish we had yr to yr save so I can go from playing 3-4 season to 15+.

I like controlling only one team but I HATE the players complaining about playing time in MYGM and I don't care for the goals so I go with MyLeague instead that way I can play whatever rotation I want. I also turn off trades and build through the draft.

I always play the first game of the season, Christmas Day game (or game directly after Christmas day), the game after the all-star break, and the last game of the season. If I make the playoffs I always play deciding games. This leads to me playing 4 to a possible 20 games per season depending on how the whole playoff situation goes. I'm excited for the tournament amongst the non-playoff teams because it means that if I don't make the playoffs there's still something to fight for.

This is pretty much how I have to do it to get through multiple seasons as I don't have the time to play like I did as a kid.

Being able to import every draft class from 1976 to 2017 is going to be amazing.

Historic draft classes sounds fantastic, but please let the character models change for these players as they age.

are there any infos on if you can regulate the number of teams in the league?
like if you want only to play with some friends without any cpu teams?
