Marketing will never allow to show examples how AI react in real stress situations lets be honest.

In 2k17 we didnt get the blogs and a lot of us tested the game for months just to see what they tried to accomplished and what is new.

That shouldnt happened, we buying a new game and we should get info about everything that was changed.

Well, I will put it to you like this. San Diego Studios the makers of MLB The Show 18 has no problem with showing their game "Work in Progress" showing off features and scenarios on a live stream, they show warts and all with the understanding it is a work in progress. It can be done and it has been done.

I was kinda going off of that. A pre release blog isn't that important if Czar (and hopefully OG) gives us info after.

Two years ago when they installed the new set of defensive options and controls, we had no explanations and when they didn't even work as intended we had no idea how to provide feedback because we had no baseline of what they were intended to look like as actions on the floor. It was very frustrating, and it made their investment in putting all those things in useless.


Last year at least they included - as we had requested - more in menu and in game tutotials and instructions for the settings. But we still don't know definitively how the in game time out menus really interact with the pause options. And they whole year went by where the settings for pick and roll by the center was flipped reversed badly coded against the regular pick and roll setting.


If they're going to return to non communication, that to me is just a warning sign that the pieces won't fit together again this year. I was encouraged by the MyLeague info drop but this has my spidey sense tingling big time.

The prelude isn't even tuned to play like the released game. It's not a game sample, it's a marketing hook to suck people in.

I agree with you the new defensive settings in 17.

I love 2K buy man there is nothing wrong with working to improve your weaknesses.


Their biggest issue is having a real liason with the community and since the departure of LD2K it's even worse.

We need the commucation... It doesn't need to be every Dev or every person who worked on the game.

But those blogs are important, even years later.

Even more reasons to get a blog. If they read this then these are great things for them to address & to add to the blog to help answer these questions. But no blog equals none of us know anything... The more info the better imo. Plus, the one thing I love about the czar is he is very transparent in telling us we aren't there yet, or we have to build this or that 1st, etc. I trust what he tells us. Everything might not work as intended and implementation could be better at times sure. But interaction with devs and them coming in reading through the thread and responding and seeing the feedback is a positive thing. No blog equals no interaction and leaves us in the dark. No bueno imo...

I was going to say the same thing. Wasn't this Gold a week or 2 ago? Now they are just testing and working on release day patch or adding detail now? I am sure if given the chance they would love to tell us what they have worked on all year long. Thats like you doing Rosters Rashidi and never talking about what or why you did this or that. We know that aint happening either. LOL :-p And obviously when I said stat that was a joke and only when they are done and have time to communicate with us...
