Even more reasons to get a blog. If they read this then these are great things for them to address & to add to the blog to help answer these questions. But no blog equals none of us know anything... The more info the better imo. Plus, the one thing I love about the czar is he is very transparent in telling us we aren't there yet, or we have to build this or that 1st, etc. I trust what he tells us. Everything might not work as intended and implementation could be better at times sure. But interaction with devs and them coming in reading through the thread and responding and seeing the feedback is a positive thing. No blog equals no interaction and leaves us in the dark. No bueno imo...

When they wouldn't communicate it made me stop doing videos. How can I help people learn how to use the systems if they won't even communicate what all the settings - in game time out included - are designed specifically to do? Those vids took a lot of time and I get paid elsewhere to do my work, it became a waste.


I also spent a lot of hours trying to help people in these forums with Q&A but it became frustrating because I couldn't answer a ton. So I scaled that back, too.

This isnt even a question. If marketing for 2k consisted of NOTHING BUT a myleague, Czar and OG blog, I would be good. Im sure theres many others in SimNation who feel that same type of way.

Of course I want a blog/article on how the game engine is evolving on the offensive and defensive end of the ball, that's what I am most interested in regarding every NBA 2k new iteration and not those stupid trailers which don't tell you anything about the game and look exactly the same every single year...

The prelude isn't even tuned to play like the released game. It's not a game sample, it's a marketing hook to suck people in.

Well that sucks, I mean I am not going to buy the game before trying it out, lsn't that the exact purpose of Prelude?

Well, that's how its marketed.

But ask yourself: how much did the Prelude's game play resemble the game on day 1, or after patches 1, 2, 3. . . etc.?

But the Prelude does let you create your MyPlayer. Hmmm. I wonder why that is? Maybe they want people to get attached to their toon and juice it up with bought VC as the full game drops?

Nah. That couldn't be a thing. I mean, if it were, that would be an accident.

I dont think there is that drastic of a difference in tuning.....its just on Pro. Its pretty obvious when I tune it to that to do a project.

If Mike Wang does a blog, pray to god he does more than talk about a shot meter and dribble moves. Pray he lets Scott and DA Czar add a short paragraph or two about the Off/Def AI upgrades and new modules.

Is 2K really focusing on mypark and making money off on the arcade players more than making the game more sim? I haven’t played 2K18 since January now and it looks like they are heading towards the Fortnite direction, making the game more accessible to casuals with flashy gimmicks.

I don’t think I will not be purchasing any future 2K basketball games, it could be because I’m getting too old now (in my 30s been playing basketball video games since 1997) or that I’m not liking the direction of the game or a combination of both.

I don't know why people think sim players are the largest demographics...

Do I want a blog? Sure, but that's more to let me know what to expect when it come to new features regarding play calling and defense. Is it a deal breaker? No....PNO players are going to make me throw that fancy information out the door once the patches drop, and I'm forced to adjust to whatever cheese people find.

Czar and OG are more for the people who play offline and My League/GM. Ironically, I pay more attention to Sam Pham's videos after the game releases.
