I don't know what to do. Was thinking of going digital. I just called customer support and the guy I talked to said I am set to get it tomorrow and that he guaranteed it. Then said if not I can pick it up in store. I told him I wouldn't be able to get to a store. I asked him to if he can guarantee I will get the game tomorrow and he said yes. Not going to be happy if that ends up being untrue.

Interesting... and on the website it's still saying it hasn't shipped?

Between this and the Nintendo Direct being delayed I got hardcore pwnd today; I guess I can at least enjoy Spider-Man.

There were people waiting a week to get their digital copy of Madden from bestbuy when it released. That scared me from ever pre ordering digital from bestbuy. That could have just been a freak occurrence but that's unacceptable.

The email I got mentioned that they knew I was expecting to receive the game "tonight". Which makes me think that maybe it's the digital codes that are delayed? I am not sure. I got the email even though I ordered a physical version. I hope I just received that email by mistake.

I called my store about 30 min ago and they are doing it at 9pm. It must only be certain stores? I'm in Chicago if that helps

No it just says pre-ordered like it did when I first ordered it. When I called the machine told me the status of the order was that they were preparing it in the factory or something. When I talked to the customer service person I asked him if they for sure had the game in stock right now and he said yes that they always have the new games in stock. I definitely wasn't confident that he knew what he was talking about. He called it EA fifa a few times.

I was doing one of those live chat support things with Best Buy and the person on the other end of the chat was saying that they were having distribution issues and that's why they cancelled the 9 PM release for most locations; they ended up receiving more pre-orders than they had copies.

Update. My order for the Anniversary edition just shipped. Tracking says expected delivery tomorrow. Still waiting for UPS pickup though and it going from Ohio to Cali so we will see.

This is ****ed up; my copy is going from Ohio to Ohio so we'll see what happens. I'll be patient before I get my panties in a bunch. Mine is still in the 'Preparing' phase.

Should I be worried that my anniversary edition hasn't shipped yet from Best Buy? It hasn't even gone into the preparing phase pre shipment. My Spiderman PS4 order shipped on the 5th.

The only reason I am worried and kinda hate Friday release dates is if they miss Friday delivery I won't get it till Monday. I remember having to wait all weekend to get my Switch that I ordered from Best Buy. They don't pay the extra fee for Saturday delivery.

Demand for at least 50% refund, my dude. Bogus af to pay $99.99 and still get it at the same time as the $59.99 release, if not later.

Are you kidding? There are folks that are doing the New Zealand thing (which Ronnie 2k is all for weirdly enough) and they're getting standard digital early apparently.

Also, if you're going to get the Anniv edition, why not just get it digitally and save the hassles of what's exactly happening right now with the Best Buy orders?

I got the anniversary edition for $60 with Bestbuy GCU discount + a 25% off code I received from them because they ended the GCU discount program. You are definitely right that it is more convenient to just pre-download and be able to play at 9pm or 12am. I may start doing that more in the future now that you can't get a discount for ordering physical.

Always liked to have the game physical and then when I am done with it I can give it to a friend or sell it. With NBA 2k I never try selling it until the new one is coming out anyways. It is worth nothing by then. Might go digital in the future for 2k unless there is some good deal.
