Yeah that's the move I've been talking about. To do it, you have to flick the right stick away from your ball hand twice this year, not once like last year.

And in 2K18, it would produce a distinctly different animation depending on whether or not you flicked the right stick towards or away from your ball hand. This year, it seems to produce the same animation in both directions, at least it does in 2KU for Steph, Klay, and KD.

I'm not sure if that move is just going to be a generic animation for everyone this year or if it's going to have more uniqueness that's tied to the standing size up package you've equipped, as was the case in 2K18.

I'll be able to find out for sure tomorrow night once I have access to a larger sampling of NBA players and am able to see which standing size up packages they have equipped.

So, like a crossover then flick it again in the same direction after the the ball hits the off hand?

I'd like to see a tutorial on step backs off the dribble. I can do the one like 24th letter posted, but really only from sizing my opponent up. Is there a way to do it quick while you are moving forward?

For example, say I get slightly by my defender. Enough to make him start following me towards the basket, then boom jump back for a quick step back as runs toward the rim. The animations I get when doing that seem much slower. But that would make sense irl tbh.

I'm also with 24th letter on last years control scheme. I believe I liked it better for combos and what not. But this is growing on me. Having fun trying to smoke the cpu in 2ku. Feel like human defenders will still be getting smoked easily lol.

Also, is there an easy way to bounce out of the hip riding animation? Seems like if i get caught in it, i'm kind of stuck.
