I'm still having a hard time accepting that particular version of his stepback not being considered a travel. He's basically taking a gather step, two steps, and then a hop step all combined before releasing his shot. That little extra puddle jump crosses the line for me.

Would that not be the same as someone picking up their dribble en route to the hoop while one foot planted simultaneously, taking two steps or beats on top of that (standard), then ending in a hop step (too much)?

They consider it a jump stop but backwards instead of the forward one we are used to.

I think by letter of the law, it is traveling but the NBA has relaxed it to a common interpretation. Technically you're allowed 1 step and a jump stop (hence why we say 2 steps after a dribble). Over the years the interpretation has moved to 2 full steps + jump stop (or 3rd euro step).

Not really a highlight but i was messing around and found out you can chain step back/gathers from post fakes.

Ive been able to do that double hop a few times, but not really sure how. It was with Doncic so Ill have to see if they share the same hop back animation.

Drive laterally and perform a stepback.

A few MyCareer highlights so far (two-way post scorer):

Being able to jump passing lanes and chase down the loose ball is so nice this year.

I just love how smooth the transition is from hopping into the shot and then the smoothness of the shot animation itself.

My favorite part in this video is the spin move on the last clip...I spun exactly as the PG was reaching in so if you slow it down, you can see me spin and put the ball just barely out of his reach as a result.

Still learning the controls, but I been able to get a little saucy the 2nd day in.

question to the OP can this highlight thread be strictly to NBA players and not created ones??? My career highlights should have separate one. i just see a lot of corny online highlights last year with unrealistic result it just ruined my eyesight. hehehhe joke but seriously.

How do you do the crossover left while hopping right that you do at like 0:34?

I didn't watch the video but i can explain it for you.

Escape cross - Flick RS 2x to the opposite ball hand.

Between the legs escape cross - Hold RT then flick RS 2x to the opposite ball hand

There's also a behind the back escape - Perform a behind the back dribble and flick RS again the same direction as the ball hand.

Edit: I watched the video and that might be a size up.

Everyone's got their own preferences but generally speaking, I like when this thread stays true strictly highlights, the shorter the better. I prefer NBA players but I don't mind the occasional MyPlayer thing if, again, they're highlights and not random 5 to 20 minute recaps.
