Yep, they look atrocious
It would be cool if they fix the color blocks too when they decide to fix this issue. As they are, most of the colorways can't be recreated...

It's been stated before, but the brands that are not editable are NOT official partners with the NBA. Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Under Armour, and Anta are.

Shout out to FBCCbayarea and his group of kids for designing this colorway! Such an amazing thing to see him go from painting shoes, to designing his own shoes, to creating a opportunity for kids in his community to design shoes for Stephen Curry. The brands that can't be edited, they've been explained, specifically to you, for 3 straight years on why they can't appear.
The colorways, it's up to Brett and his team on when they go in. The colorways are closely monitored and will probably go in as 1 big batch, same as last year and 2K17.
It's the holiday season. Folks that work at 2K have families to go home to.

2k has contracts with those other brands to have them in game. Which is why they're in the game, yet not official partners of the NBA.

But they're IN the game. What you're saying does not explain why the only players that can wear them are the only players that can. If it's in the game...oops that lines use to belong to the other guys. I want to have complete freedom to edit roster. I want to put different colored socks on players. I want shoes that are in the game to be freely used on whomever I see fit. I want 2 glasses of ice water. I want $50000000.00 in my bank account this morning...
