Figured I would post this chart again that I made I think 2? years ago. It lists all of the materials by order of 'shine' to them. I made it to get more accurate looking materials for the shoes since the name of the material isn't exactly indicative of how it actually looks. I feel like a lot of the Default material settings look off from how the shoes actually look in real life so I go through and change the material on every shoe that I make. I like using Rubber for leather shoes, Velvet for rubber soles that have very little shine, Fabric or Suede for Lining/Laces/Stitched logos.

Here's the tier list of shine that I use:

I hope Brett/Hawktastic still visits this forum... Brett, you and the other shoe/accessories guys are doing good work! But please, fix the shoe updates being tied to roster updates... def a pain in the *** trying to make offline/play now rosters and having to allot a bunch of time waiting for new shoe updates.

figured out a workaround

just go to create a player
import that players DNA
& then you can add any shoe you want & reimport him into the roster
delete the old one

Only problem with this is you lose all career stats.

Went through and messed with the color palette to try and get the closest matching colors to team color ways. Hopefully the art team or Brett Hawkins can tune some of these up in-game.

Figured everybody noticed how faded or off the "Team Color" options are on the Shoe Editor compared to the actual jersey's & accessories but heres some visual aid.

I think most of the uniforms are too dark... Especially for teams like the Thunder and Celtics... I actually looked up the color code for the thunder and 2k has it right for the shoes but not for the uniforms... It's backwards... The accessories and the uniforms are wrong and the colors for the shoes are correct according to the thunder's official color code

2k is completely off for the most part... Celtics green should be way lighter and ditto for thunder blue... Maybe we can refer 2k to this site because clearly most of the uniform colors need a MASSIVE overhaul ASAP
