That's tough, I just won a game almost in that fashion. Thunder hit a last second shot to take the lead, I came up and missed a floater with J.R. Smith but Cousins put it back with like a second left on the clock for the lead. Came back from down 17 against OKC in the WCF to go up 1-0 thanks to Anthony Davis having probably the best game I've seen a player have in 2K. He dropped 60/20/4/2/2/1, that's the 2nd most points scored in Lakers playoff history (Baylor first with 61). Not even top five for rebounds though thanks to Wilt and Shaq. Last time someone had a game like this was.... Anthony Davis in 2016 with 59/20 against the Pistons. AD also had 53/18 and 50/15 games for the Pelicans last year. This kind of potential is exactly why I traded for him.
LeBron was terrible against PG13 (7-17, 17pts), can't have my best player struggle like that, AD can't produce like that and play 42+ min all series. He did drop 10 assists though so that was nice. Even when he's not scoring he's still creating.
I'm in the same win-now position. I sold the farm (Kuzma, Lonzo, Ingram, Hart, and a bunch of first round picks) for AD. Signed Cousins to a 2 year max contract and brought aboard a bunch of 1 year roleplayers (J.R., Marjanovic, Wayne Ellington, Mike Scott, Troy Daniels, etc.) The only players under contract next year are LeBron, Cousins, KCP, and McConnell. Re-signing AD will be the top priority but I think I'm going to let DeMarcus walk after next season and maybe go the elite depth route instead. Either way the championship window is right now.
Been working a lot lately, gonna try and find time to write everything that's happened up on my dynasty thing soon.
Just lost game 6 
they hit a shot to take the lead with 0.5 to go and my buzzer beater was no good. in the Finals they lost to the Suns who just won their 3rd straight title. Kevin Durant has retired from the NBA at age 38. His final game was a heroic effort, coming off the bench and dropping 22 and 5-6 from 3. I really wanted to win it for him. His 3 seasons with my team we got the #1 seed 3 times in a row but no championships. Devastating way to end his career.
My legacy as team owner has really taken a hit. Once thought to be an up and coming dynasty - after winning our first ever NBA title the team has underachieved in the playoffs for 3 straight seasons. My teams best players are all around age 30 and I have no up and coming talent whatsoever after making 'win now' moves and having a few bad drafts in a row. I am way over the cap and have no flexibility to make changes other then a trade. Meanwhile the Suns have just won their 3rd straight championship. It could have been me. It hurts man, it really hurts. Hoping something changes in 2028 but for the first time I go into the offseason feeling uneasy about my team.
