I just sent this thread to Mike Wang (Beluba) on Twitter. Hopefully, we hear something from the developers soon.

The stuttering/framerate drop during off-line 5 v 5 gameplay is brutal. Other users are posting of crashes in various Xbox menus as well.

Just got the game for Xbox One X and the low frame rate on Broadcast cam was the first thing I noticed.

I don’t think it’s stuttering, moreso it can’t handle 60fps at native 4K.

I think they should lower the resolution a little.

According to PS4 Pro owners, and some videos I have seen, everything appears to be running silky smooth on their end.

Just a guess but Pro might not be native 4K, possibly a checkerboard and temporal resolution.

The more I’m playing on X the more it’s hurting my eyes. Literally fatiguing them :/

If this is microsoft not releasing the updated patch then I need to buy it for ps4 pro because I am sure this won't be the last time the xbox users get a new patch late.

I am starting to believe maybe us XBOX folks did receive patch 1.01, but the version numbers are different between PS4 and XBOX One.

Does anyone on XBOX remember seeing a Patch 1.01 download during their initial install?

If we did receive the patch, and the game is still dropping framerate/studdering like this, I would consider that very concerning for the XBOX users. Also, the silence from the developers is a bit worrying as well.

NBA 2K19 patch 1.01 update for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is now available for download. According to the NBA 2K19 1.01 changelog, the new update contains fixes for server performance, game crashing, stuttering/lag, and more. In addition, the NBA 2K19 update 1.01 also includes fixes for stability and performance improvements.

NBA 2K19 is developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports. This year’s edition includes new features like MyTeam Unlimited, which lets you pick a lineup of 13 players without restrictions. There’s a ladder system that determines rewards earned from the MyTeam Unlimited mode, where you’ll have to win up to 12 games. The next new mode is Triple Threat, which is a single player, 3v3 mode, where you have to defeat all 30 teams in the NBA in a row. Finally, there are now Daily Trials in NBA 2K19’s MyTeam, where you can log in every day to be given new assignments.

Unfortunately, since the release, many players are experiencing a number of issues when trying to play the game. Today’s NBA 2K19 update 1.01 is expected to fix these issues.

How do you know the graphics are vastly superior to the pro. You sound like your trolling.

I have played both. Saying the Xbox One X produces better graphics is never trolling, it's simply a matter of fact given its vast advantage in power.

Xbox One X has better shadow quality. Shadows are fuller, of higher resolution, and contain more detail, enhancing the contrast and overall "pop" of the game. The difference in this game, or any sports game, won't be as big as you would see in a game like Destiny 2 or Far Cry 5, since sports games don't have the most impressive visuals, but it is still noticeably better on the X, as expected.

Some may be more sensitive to it than others, but I can assure you it is there and noticeable on every possession in a 5V5 NBA game. I do not play online modes, so I cannot speak to them.

The size of the TV may also exacerbate the issue. My tv is 75" and the studdering/frame rate drop is very hard on my eyes and takes away from the gameplay experience. Is it unplayable, no, but it's there and needs to be fixed.

I am hopeful that these issues were resolved with the patch (1.01) that XBOX owners have yet to receive. The patch notes were primarily for framerate, studdering, and performance issues, so I am sure the devs noticed this before releasing to the masses. Unfortunately, XBOX is always slow on delivering patches, so let's hope it releases tonight or tomorrow morning.

If not, I guarantee you this thread will be flooded with posts from folks who bought the XBOX One standard edition and receive their game tonight/tomorrow.

On a 65 inch OLED, went up close (within a couple of feet) just to see if I could see any stuttering. Still none. Perfectly smooth and stable throughout 5v5 in broadcast cam.

Game looks great.

The X can literally handle native 4K and 60fps on Forza Motorsport 7, which is vastly more visually demanding, as well as Fifa, Madden, NBA2K18, etc.

This is something that is affecting a very small % of users. Notice how there are virtually no complaints on social media about this, and several of us on this thread, including myself, are not experiencing this issue. I am getting a perfectly smooth and stable 60fps.

I will try to un-install and re-install the game when I return home from my trip on Wednesday night.

I play on a 75” Sony Z9d and the stuttering/frame rate drop is noticeable from 10 feet at all times during gameplay. It’s not unplayable, but it hurts my eyes and the game looks very choppy.
