Yeah I feel the same way. Matchup 3v3's and 4v4's. They probably think this will screw with the ranking system since you can avoid certain teams and rack up wins by not playing with 5 guys.

It is really unfortunate since we do have 6 guys, but of the ~200 or so games we played last year, we actually had 5 in less than a dozen total games. We pretty much always played with 3 or 4, since two guys work different hours.

I have a lot if friends and can usually get a squad of 5 so this doesn't affect me much. However, when we DO have 5 it STILL takes 5-10 minutes to match up at times. I don't understand how they couldnt see this coming.

2k May switch this as the complaints are starting to pick up. I didnt like running into teams of 3. It was a blowout 90% of the time and not fun at all. Felt like a waste of time. I'm digging the 5v5 requirement in Team but wouldn't be mad if they changed it back. Definitely understand where some are coming from.

Say what you want, but my team of 3 were eating a lot of people up last year. Plus it was fun to average 32 in the process. Teams would just start doubling me but I would give it up quick and relocate, use the AI for screens. If your a high level player you can make it work. I even beat a team of 5 by myself with 4 AI last year when a couple of my teammates quit out last second for some odd reason. As bad as the AI can be, I would take them any day over a lot of idiots out there that just hog and then blame everyone else for their poor play. So many players are just cancer to a good basketball team.

It can be fun for you with the 2 AI's but I hated how boring it was to face a team of 3 when I had a full squad.

I just printed out my return slip from Amazon. I know a lot of you guys play with 5 and that's cool, but some of us do not and that isn't cool that they took a game mode away from those that do only have 3-4 person teams.

I will say, 2k does NOT have a problem changing things in a game without warning or saying a thing.

Like they had crew in 2k10 and 11, and suddenly 12 didn't even have any online mode and we had to find that out at launch.

I agree that it's annoying to play against AIs, but I think there's a lot of steps 2K could make short of blocking people (like me) who don't have 4 2K playing friends from playing.

I thought the easy solution was making AIs a little better. 2K18's AIs were absolute bums, who could intercept the ball like Ed Reed.

If they made them as good as an average NBA player, it would make the games more interesting for everyone. That is, good enough that defense can't just abandon them, but not so good that they tip the scale in favor of the shorthanded team..

Or just match teams with 3 players against other teams with 3 players.

That last part is something that I have no clue how they have missed. I have been saying that for years. If nothing else allow the players to match up in a pre-game screen like we did do in NBA 2k10 and 2k11 crew. Even if my player build is a SF I'd move to a center if it meant a player/player match up and not on a CPU even with a size disadvantage. So like, why can't 2k match up undermanned teams or allow us to pick positions pre-game like we once could? I would much rather play against hacked 10 ft tall guards like we did a decade ago than not being able to run my team out there at all.
