Yessir. You can play with the same team over and over. The only thing is that you don’t progress leagues. Which isn’t that bad because the wait time at the higher leagues is crazy.

Now that I have informed y’all of this good news. Can y’all let me know if after doing this, you can no longer play in the jerseys that you select? I’m just trying to find the source of my problem. I created a ticket. Waiting for a response from 2K.

But it's a huge problem. If people don't rank up and stay in the same league, people of higher leagues won't be able to find players and will stay stucked.

If they want to keep this new rule, they need to allow players to play with people out of their league. Otherwise the ranking is just gonna freeze

This is why I lost games and quit games on purpose to get moved from the development league down to college because the wait times were way too much at those leagues.

Pretty sure they do - I play against teams from other tiers all the time. Wouldn't be surprised if ranked is wide open.

I don’t think you play players from other leagues. When I was at the higher leagues I noticed I was playing the same guys who were in the same league as me. They’ll match you with teams in other tiers as long as their in the same league.

They'll just have to make the decision whether or not to take some L's to drop down in leagues.

found out too late that you can keep playing same tier team and not to promote. Now I'm on college league and can't find games at all. Its way too restrictive to only search matchup within same league. I can't even find games to demote myself now.

Really glad I waited and you couldn't play with the same team to begin with really.

I'd much rather play in Freshman where I don't have to go up against historic teams anyways.

But some guys won't even be able to find a game and lose.

For example, there is only one guy in second division

Whats wrong going against historic teams ? Most of them don't fit the gameplay meta with 2 inside bigs lineups and none are nearly as strong as current raptors or gsw.

Realism aspect. Historic teams just don't appeal to me.

Yeah, I just read that comment from the other poster. That would really suck. Honestly, I didn't think about people who were higher up and takes forever just to get a match. They would have to literally turn on their system, search, then walk away. As for the one guy...man, I feel for him.

They could have just put this whole tier system and team restrictions in a ranked mode or something, and allow a casual mode for people who dont have hours and hours everyday to rank up to unlock teams they want to use, and heck, later on its more than hours and hours, its literally dependent on if you can win, or if you can find matches.

This change is literally my # 1 for questionable changes in a video game.
