Re: NBA 2K19 - Post Moves Thread
You get the ball (haven't used your dribble yet). You reverse pivot. And blow by or you can fake it. Is that what he's talking about?
Edit: I realize he's talking about going middle and then knocking the defender back with a elbow and then dunking it. I'm guessing it's like doing the running hook shot. It just depends on the defender position and strength if it's a dunk or not.

I just got the game last night. Hold your horse on the content lol jk. But I thought he was asking for the old school rip through on the post up.

I think I know what you're talking about now though; the face-up and blow by doesn't seem to be as effective this year as it was in 18 but it's still pretty good.NFL: Bills

Re: NBA 2K19 - Post Moves Thread
How are you post gods handling the quick double teams from the CPU when playing MyCareer games?
It's easy enough to feast when isolated but once the CPU decides to double on catch I become a turnover machine if I don't pass or shoot immediately.
I tried deep position, catching at the elbow, flaring out to the wing but I haven't found a way to make the CPU consistantly pay for this strategy.
Any ideas? I'm just trying to grind badges to gold before hitting park/pro-am.Comment

Re: NBA 2K19 - Post Moves Thread
The best move I’ve pulled off so far was a post spin from the right high post into a hop step dunk on the left side. I missed the dunk, but when I can do it consistently it will be my favorite move.

Re: NBA 2K19 - Post Moves Thread
I haven't tried it out vs a defender yet, but starting in the high post set up a post spin to the baseline, then hold turbo and double tap X or square and you can chain the post spin into a spin dunk.Comment

This?
Anyone able to pull off a smooth face-up drive move? It was dope in 2K13 but i'm struggling with it here. The KD face-up spin is the quickest and smooth separation i've seen so far.

Re: NBA 2K19 - Post Moves Thread
So I created a big man (sharp post scorer) for the first time ever and am having trouble with the post moves. Can someone tell me 3 or 4 go to moves that are fairly basic to get me started? Thanks!!Watch me game on Twitch!

Re: NBA 2K19 - Post Moves Thread
I like the drop-step move (LS + tap X towards baseline) as it really clears out the defender and gives a lot of space to get up a shot. However, u need to be strong to muscle yor way to the mid paint area and execute it.
I'm trying to master the catch and spin (rotate LS) one dribble to the key and spin (double tap X) again to the baseline with an up and under move. No luck.
The other move I like is the one I posted above - face-up drive. Use the pivot (release and hold LT) to see which direction yor off-pivot foot goes. Release LT and rotate using LS to spin away from the defender. This will be good if the post player is long and agile and finesse like KD, young Pau Gasol, Olajuwon etc. Use this on slower defender.

Re: NBA 2K19 - Post Moves Thread
Has anyone figured out how to consistently dunk out of a hop shot?
I was able to pull off this move twice over the weekend but I didn't necessarily do anything on purpose.
Both times it happened, I did a post-spin from the elbow with the center camping under the rim. I normally usually try to fire off a eurostep or teardrop in these cases, but here my player hopped horizontally just before the defender and went up for a posterizing dunk.
Wish I captured the video to help, but does anyone else know the move I'm trying to replicate?Comment
