Hopstep fades are op currently imo. I see pure posts dropping these from nearly downtown. Dont know which one currently but one of the hopsteps creates so much space that its pretty much unguardable.

After that id say dropstep is much more efficient than the postspin this year. I dont know, maybe its because I made my C nearly default weight but im not getting that many successful spins currently.

Up & under is the most difficult to pull off because they made the timeframe for the "under" smaller this year...

How is the shoulder fake done? Been looking and not finding it.

Edit: Ahhh, it's just a quick right stick flick. Easy enough.

I was able to pull off this move twice over the weekend but I didn't necessarily do anything on purpose .

Both times it happened, I did a post-spin from the elbow with the center camping under the rim. I normally usually try to fire off a eurostep or teardrop in these cases, but here my player hopped horizontally just before the defender and went up for a posterizing dunk.

Wish I captured the video to help, but does anyone else know the move I'm trying to replicate?
I'm getting a little better at triggering this move on purpose. Important to have a good amount of stamina.

I did a lot of hop step dunk out of 1-on-1 fast break. It was ... one of the greatest additions this year.

I really wish they would add the Ben Simmons running hook animation to everyone. Or at least to big men.

The running hook hasn't been in the game since 2K13.
                Lineup:
                PG) Gary Payton
                SG) '95-'96 Michael Jordan
                SF) Sapphire Scottie Pippen
                PF) '95-'96 Dennis Rodman
                C) Hakeem Olajuwon

Re: NBA 2K19 - Post Moves Thread

Ok, so I'm having a big problem trying to accomplish the Up and Under. I took myPlayer into the gym and selected the badge and...never even got one.

So...wtf am I not doing? I hold LT, fake with the stick one way, and then move it inside at the basket....and nothing. I'm sure I'm really messing this up somehow, but I seem to be doing what the instructions say.

I have no problem with Shimmy's and Dropsteps, so I don't think I'm a moron (well....) who doesn't understand the instructions.

                  Help?

Best thing about it is that it counts as a floater.

It's beautiful to watch and adds much needed variety to when you want to drive middle and get a good shot off.

Can’t hit the face up jumper at all against the cpu in mycareer .

The post stepback is my signature now . It’s so good for me. Better than the post hop IMO

Is that the one where you hold both triggers and press back on the R stick?

Up & under is the most difficult to pull off because they made the timeframe for the "under" smaller this year...
I don't think the hopstep fades are that overpowered. I played a 2v2 last night where the guy kept trying it, and he only made like 2/6 or something. Once I realized what he was doing, I was able to keep on top of him in the post and get a solid contest. Granted, he may not have had a maxed out post game or badges, I'm not sure. But my player was only a 71 OVR.

The funny part was that I went in with an 0-2 record, and my teammate was 0-12. The guys we played against had played ~100 games between the two (they joined on the "Squad Up spots), and were over .500. I saw pretty quickly why my teammate was 0-12 (sharpshooting SG who went 0-6 from three in spite of his 83 OVR), and he kept getting reaching fouls.

His man was knocking down leaners and long threes because he didn't know how to play defense, so I figured we were going to lose. Then he quit, and I got an AI teammate. I played patiently in the post and scored about half the points, and fed my AI teammate when he got open. My defender left me open beyond the arc a lot, but I only took one shot from three, which I missed (my 3PT rating is only a 61 at the moment).

Proper switches when they tried to screen the AI player to get an open shot pretty much stopped their shooter, and we came back and won. It was actually fun to have a post battle with another human. Both of us were playing the post up game; it wasn't a three-fest.

On PS4 camera relative , while in the post I hold the left analog stick down directly away from the basket and press square . Not pressing R2 at all .

I Think you’re talking about the post step back that keeps your dribble alive.

As a matter of fact I’m not sure if this move is in the tutorial controls .
