The stamina thing may work, but that still does nothing when people are actually baiting bad passes, and only hit the button when the pass is made (as me and my team does). Still going to average a lot of steals.

I think the stamina hit could solve a lot of the steal spamming issues, especially if adding in a negative hit to teammate grade for bad or repeated steal attempts.
And, if I’m not mistaken, that’s all anyone is asking for.
Personally, I’d like to see both of those and a reduction in success for non-defensive builds.

I think the main problem is 2K never fix the fundamental problem...the loose ball glitch(from k15 till now....) ,then they add a passing lane glitch in 2K19....& die hard fan still praise 2k for that!? that's really pissed me off

Could you guy "teach" those AI players how to protect the ball? i doubt it

I’ve been hearing people saying they want the ability to jump passing lanes nerfed as a whole. I think that’s what’s mainly irritating me. I know I’ve had too many years of jumping passes only to be met with bad animations and ball phasing. So it kinda hits a sore spot with me.

          I get it.
I think this is the best 2k has put out in a long time, but there are glaring issues that need to be addressed. If these issues aren’t addressed, this game could easily fall into the 2k18 category pretty quickly.

After playing more tonight, I definitely think that having no stamina penalty is the biggest issue. I'm actually pretty okay with the way you can play the lanes, but people need to pay a steeper price for attempting and failing.

This would discourage full court spamming and general half court spamming.

Played a Pro Am game with my sim squad and our opponent had 4 PGs and one C and sat in a 2-4 zone the whole game and every single one of them was mashing steal all game. Didn't matter where the ball was they would set up in the zone and you'd see 5 guys swiping at air without penalty. That's what needs to be fixed.

On ball steals feel great to me, but there has to be a penalty for spamming steal off ball be it stamina or an off ball foul. The steal and hands rating need to come into effect as well with the timing window for getting a clean steal on a pass. Just off on the timing and the ball is deflected (out of bounds is preferable but can't always be the case, just not directly to the offense the majority of the time like deflections work now), mistime the steal by a large enough window and the pass gets through. This keeps the ball tangible

I saw the exact same thing ,except the team we were playing were running a 3-2 zone.

Now I can get down with that. I just don’t want them to do something where it screws up the entire dynamic.

Played my first pro-am game today. The game mode is very unbalanced. Shooting is too easy it seems like the difficulty is on pro. Steals are out of control. In the first half our team already had 17 steals. Bigs getting stripped left and right. At the moment the game mode is very arcadey comparing to last year. Overall, the mode plays like park in a 5vs5 setting.

You can't wear a headband in team pro am or it will kick you out of the game right before it loads you into the the matchup intro screen.

I think this was a bug at the start of 2K17?

Well, it's back again for 2K19's launch.

As I said in the other thread, the steal button should have a "cooldown" where you can't use it again for a couple of seconds based on your rating, whereas Defensive builds with HOF pickpocket are the only ones who can use it continually.

Regarding 3's, the system has been broken for years where people expect "I'm open and a sharpshooter, therefore I should make 100% of my shots", which is a result of the broken arcade mentality that's infected the game.

It should be on a curve where AT THE HIGHEST level of sharpshooters should only be guaranteed to make their shots 60% of the time or something (which is better than anyone's ever shot in NBA history still), then be on a curve down from there.

The way it's been the past couple of years, having your timing down resulting in making 90% of threes taken has killed the game pretty bad, especially with HOF Limitless Range/Deadeye making anything within halfcourt considered a "good" shot just because Steph Curry fluked it for ONE year (and has never been able to replicate that again).

Yeah the shooting is so bad and overpowered, I was under the impression they toned down limitless and made shooting more difficult, nope, not even in the slightest bit. I'm never going to trust another thing these developers say leading up to the game launch. I think the shooting is even more overpowered this year thanks to the takeover being so easy to get too.

It definitely is and then you miss open layups on the fastbreak....

Bigs can cover to much ground on defense(they are too fast)

Late contest on laups matter too much.

                          Random blocks doing pumpfakes.

Leaning shots for guys who have catch and shoot badge should be removed.

Even if you had perfect timing last year, you could only green around 66% of your open threes (though badge boosts and on-fire boosts could raise that number).

If you have perfect timing this year, you can literally green 100% of your open threes once your three pointer is above a certain ratings threshold, which is dependent on your jump shot base.

So that is why shooting is much more accurate this year. People have already found the jump shots with the lowest ratings thresholds for greens, and are creating players who can achieve that rating without needing badge boosts/on-fire boosts.

The timing window to green threes has gone down to 8 ms this year compared to about 30 ms last year, but that hasn't seemed to matter much, when it comes to highly rated three point shooters.

I’m pointing out things I noticed. I played 4 games after this and the results was similar. The mode is chaotic due to lack of penalty when attempting a steal. Shooting sliders are either too high or the difficulty is too low. If I want to see everyone shooting 70%-80% I play the park. My Pf have 49 midrange and he was greening majority of it. Right now shooting feel like 2k17 at the beginning of the year when everyone was making everything.
