This was true when the game 1st came out. It now also includes players +/- 3 inches in height relative to your player.Comment

Re: Official MyPlayer/MyCareer Thread
Hopefully, I just created my final character this year. I've been pretty anti-sharp/stretch the last couple years. Always been an inside character. Last year, some of you may remember me trying to make a "Dirk" build. I wanted to emulate Prime Dirk who relied mostly on his post game to open up the outside game. It failed pretty miserably. I was half-decent in catch and shoot scenarios but the pist game was never strong enough because all i wanted was a 15 foot fader to be reliable in the first place. I wasn't trying to play the low block, but more the elbows and midrange.
This year I made a 7' PF 242 LBS(default weight, Dirk is listed at 245, so the difference was negligible) Post-scoring Stretch 4. He's barely a 64 OVR with only a 66 three ball and 66 post game. But on Pro I just dropped 38 off the bench. I went 7/12 from deep ny last game playing the Jazz.
They were a switch heavy team so when I was running the plays in the offense, in my limited minutes, I was able to get my takeover twice allowing me to stay on the floor( they dont sub you out with takeover active) to put up more shots.
Basically, at the start of the second half we were up big already. So when I saw they had me at the 3 with Dirk and DJ in the line up, I started leaking as soon as a shot went up. Was able to get at least 5-6 wide open shots on the break making 4 of them. A couple greens as well.
With all thr shooting badges on gold and an 80 three ball I should be pretty reliable from outside. With takeover and being 7 foot, ill still be able to shoot over people, and the fader being much more reliable this year, this guy should prove to be a tough match up.Comment

Re: Official MyPlayer/MyCareer Thread
We haven't had abilty to even been able to upgrade defensive ratings (outside of blocks and steals) last few years. I get it that ratings like that and intangible ratings are really based on user skill. But it seems like to be a good perimeter defender, you need high Speed and Lat Quickness and anticipation. Even then, getting sucked into screens and being stuck in animations really suck as a perimeter defender.
I like my build. But I don't really care for the Rim Protector takeover. It's not like over takeovers where it is almost a guaranteed make or steal. You still have to time blocks and they still make shots on you. I either want it to be a guaranteed miss when I contest a shot or at least negate all offensive badges when I'm guarding themLast edited by illwill10; 01-11-2019, 09:53 AM.Comment

Re: Official MyPlayer/MyCareer Thread
You would think, but 2K doesn’t like cpu players to foul out...I forced 4 fouls on Steph Curry in the first half because he couldn’t guard me in the post(my guy is 6’8”), the second half I tried to do the same thing and got the same animations the game just wouldn’t call a foul on him.Say "No" to railroaded MC modes.Comment
