My next question pertains to AI player development & growth.. So of course Lauri Markkanen is super underrated atm in 2k19 he should be at least a 83ovr if not higher but due to injuries and not playing alot i understand why they have him so low but they also have his rebounding ability extremely low that its digusting... He only averages 5rbs a game right now and it pisses me off cuz he will score 20 a game easily long as i set him up but his rebounding is horrendous and it holds us back... Same thing for Wendell Carter jr he is only rated a 78 when he should be an 80 also they underrated his defense imo and athleticism.. But im just curious for those who have completed 1 full season or played thru multiple season do the AI Players on your team grow and develop throughout the season?? Because Wendell Carter is a good young Center and is averaging 11ppg with 7rbg but wtf i need a center to get way more rebounds then that and if he wont get better i would def like to trade him for someone who could do the job better. I just wanna know will he develop as he would in myleague?

Now, I'm not a roster editor or a hardcore my league head, so i can't say for certain what it all entails. But you can get an idea of what 2k's thoughts on a player's development by the "Potential" attribute. Just go to stats and highlight a player to bring up their player card, scroll to their attributes and look. They should hit that OVR, idk if they will ever surpass it.

They had Luka Doncic rated as an 80 the beginning of the year. I don't know what his badges were when the game launched. But i have a few seasons with him and even after they gave him a boost to his ratings his badges were the same. He had PNR Maestro Silver and Lob City Passer Bronze. He had that most of the season. I have several characters with him that he only has those badges and i have one or two careers where he got a few bronze badges in the off-season.

This new career (9th!!) they finally got him to an 87 overall with a 93 potential and I just looked at his badges...

But yeah, I'm excited to see how he develops. Right now, 20 games in with KP, this isn't even fair. Just dogged the Rockets. They kept it close most the game. I dropped 40, but had 18 in the first quarter. Rest of the game I was feeding KP (27) and Luka (24) and only started going for 40 the last 3 minutes. I bricked 6 threes trying to make one before the game. LMFAO

Im so pissed right now at 2k like i almost wanna quit playing so i finally get my PG for the Bulls to a 90ovr and im super excited because i can finally adjust my rotations and go to a 4 man bench of Kris Dunn, Robin Lopez, Denzel Valentine & Chandler Hutchinson... Plus i planned on requesting trades for guys like rebounding Center Ivan Zubic because Wendell is undersized and not the best rebounder Zubic off the bench would be perfect compliment to his skills. Robert Williams because he could play defense which Lauri Markkanen doesnt do well.. Then i was gonna trade for Rodney Mcgruger because he could help give us a better scorer off the bench and better defense..so im a 90ovr and for some reason i cant adjust minutes even tho my team chemistry is always at a 99% im thinking maybe my teammate grade needs to be higher but someone also told me u need to be getting 38mins in the minutes section and im only getting 32 so maybe thats why i gotta get to that point idk but that irratated me then we traded Antonio Blakeney for Zubic which was great and what i wanted... So next i request a trade for Robert Williams and 1 day later we have him but we traded Zubic for him which pissed me off again so im just like ok lemme request a trade to get Zubic back and hopefully we dont trade away Williams for him but after doing that they tell me i cant make anymore trade requests for the season like wtf how is there a limit on that [emoji19][emoji19][emoji19][emoji19][emoji19]... Just irritated my soul if i could adjust minutes it wouldnt be a biv deal but both of those things together just blew me

When you're signed to Jordan do you get to make a signature shoe? I was just able to edit one of 5 different shoes as far as color, thought I would be making a signature shoe. When does that happen?

I will start the player lock career within few days. I was waiting for the buyout market to dry out. It has pretty much dried out besides a few players. I tried continuing with my PF. But couldn't because getting tired of being restricted with my build. Thats why I'm looking forward to the player lock. Not sure how much I will play it though. So I will have my player around 90 OVR to start and go the team like the Suns and draft young players and have my team set, so I can focus on just playing

So I got fed up... Lol even with all of his ratings boosts and badge boosts, Luka is just way too passive. I can get him to average around 20ppg and KP was dominating too, but it's just too hard for me to get Luna to just go HAM. I figure with me averaging almost 15 APG he would have a higher scoring average. Problem is he just doesn't shoot enough. He leads the league in 3 point percentage, and that's half the problem. He's so efficient with his touches because he only shoots half the shots I want him to. He could potentially average 50 ppg if he would shoot the shots I give him with the shooting percentages he's hitting. If he would pull more, I'm sure his averages would go down but that's my point.

So... I got traded to the Knicks. LMAO!

As a Mavs fan I actually really liked having Deandre Jordan on my team. He was fun in the pick and roll. He was fun to watch with DSJ and Luke, too. His gold pick and roller, lob city finisher, and brick wall were very effective for me at point.

I looked at the standings before requesting a trade and they were the worst team in the league. They were 6-30 before the trade and I'm going to try and make the playoffs. Part of me just wants to sim to the end of the season and see if they'll win enough through Sims, but I'm not going to take that chance. I just wanna take the worst team to the playoffs and not have to worry about scoring 60 or not. If i gotta throw 75 on the Warriors to win i wanna not feel bad about it. Lol

Started my Player Lock MyLeague with the Suns as a PG. My player is essentially a John Wall type of PG. Tall Athletic two way PG, but not a knock down shooter. I used a custom draft class. So I simmed the first season. I tried most of the forwards we had for expiring contracts. I planned to place my player in the FA pool. So I could draft any player. We had 6th pick. I could have got RJ Barrett. But, passed him up for Cam Reddish. He fits that 3 &D wing especially next to Booker. I signed Thaddeus Young and Mbah a Moute at the PF. So Starting lineup lineup is Me-Booker-Reddish-Moute-Ayton. I signed Marc Jackson as the HC. I still have Josh Jackson on team. But I have him on the trade block.

I have yet to start playing, won't have time, but can get things set for when I do. This seems the way for me to go in the future. I like having more control, I don't have to grind or be forced to play a meaningless season grinding then losing interest afterwards. I have most settings on auto. But the main one I have control of is all trades. I blocked alot of clueless trades for CPU teams. Unless I see improvement next year, I will do the same next year. I relocated the Suns to Seattle and brought back the Supersonics. I was always hesitant on doing a Player Lock. Mainly because I just wanted to play games without having to do everything off the court. But I like the control.
I don't know how many games I will even play this year since this is started so late. But next year, I'm definitely doing this from the jump. I spent so much time on the MyNBA2k app from Sept to December doing the daily VC stuff just because I didn't want to buy VC. Where next year, I can start whenever there is a solid custom roster and draft and not have to be restricted on a build. After thinking about it, it makes more sense for me. I only played career games. I was more concerned about building a team to my liking before I really get invested. The initial grind always gave me something to play for in My career. But usually took a long while, that when I got where I wanted too, I lost interest. So next year, I can have everything set to where I want, the team constructed to my liking, so when I start I can play for enjoyment instead of the grind

So what I came up with for now is I’m doing a my league season with the skillazkill NCCA roster so my player can develop while he’s in college. I’m gonna do a season and declare for the draft after. I’m gonna start out at 65-70 overall to see how far I can get him after 1 season. It’s 35 games so I figure I’m gonna play most of them and sim a few every now and then, while playing the entire March madness. Once my player reaches at least 80-85 I’m going to copy that player dna to a draft class which is gonna be used for the start today my league that I have now, just playing the season as it goes. Once it ends and we get to the draft, I’m going to control whatever team takes me. (I have the draft for each team on auto just to make it more of a guessing game of where my player will end up on draft night. I wasn’t sure what school I was going to attend, leaning towards UNC since they were my NCAA team growing up or if I should go with my alma mater the Binghamton bearcats lol... it would be nice to face duke again since they defeated us and knocked us out of the tourney in 09 lol so I’m not sure just yet but I’m thinking about it.

Played my 1st game as a Player Lock PG for the Seattle Supersonics against the Spurs. Started off slow down 13-2. Had to get use to playing as a PG and with the type of player I created. But picked it up after half time. We came back and ended up winning by 20. I ended up with 22pts, 11 assists, and 7 rebounds. Ayton had 25 points and 20 rebounds. Booker had 28 points. Once I get my playing style down, sky is limit for team. I'm playing with a custom slider set I downloaded. Next game is against Zion Williamson and the Bulls
One game but I really enjoyed Player Lock better. As someone who just played career games, nothing I am missing out on. No restrictions on my build. Ability to play with more realistic custom rosters and sliders. More control of team around your player. I'm definitely doing one next year from the jump.

I came back from down 18 to the Lakers to tie the game with 1.2 seconds left in the 4th. Playing the Knicks. Then what do they do?

Pass it to Kanter in the corner and he hits a 3 in front of Cousins' face for the win. With a 48 3pt rating.

Back on 2k last Time I played was in November so since last night I'm played 2 games beating Memphis 117-96 And Utah 109-100

We actually were down 8 pts when I got sub back in the 4th with 5 min to go and went on a run after those 5 min scored 6 pts and 3 ast

Big 3 between me Blake and Andre is fantastic...Andre 20+ Pts and 20+ Reb back to back games dude been beasting as for myself 35/4/6 At Memphis 27/3/12 7 steals Vs Utah

88 points. 15 assists. 4 boards. 4 steals. 3 blocks. 12 minute quarters. hall of fame. Win the game.

Dam it sucks being fouled out in a game only played 14 min I was rolling to scored 24 Pts on 62% 3/5 behind the arc We barely won by a point 111-110 win streak now stands 22
