Won't play for another month. I probably know the answer to this: Are we still stuck with default rosters in MyCareer?

I just don't like playing on default 2k rosters. I don't have a interest for historic rosters or MyTeam-esque rosters. I just want more realistic rosters. 2k tends to overrate players and their tendencies. Where they have Jayson Tatum rated higher than both Jaylen Brown and Al Horford. I remember in 2k17 at one time they had Richaun Holmes with a 80 3pt rating but a 30 Shoot 3pt tendency.

I know most likely know we are stuck with default rosters. But it would make playing in MyCareer more fun against CPU if they played more to their real life NBA counter parts

This is my first time making an off-ball player this year (Two-Way Shooting Guard, Sharp/Lockdown) and I'm having trouble figuring out controls for off-ball movement. I feel like 2k doesn't tell you much about off-ball movement on offense at all. Any of y'all familiar? I'm molding my guys ala-Klay/Rip Hamilton.

What are the controls to push off defenders, create more space, etc?

If you haven't already, I'd recommend posting in the How-To thread.

But I believe you make cuts by using the right thumbstick. It seems like it doesn't always trigger for me though so maybe I'm doing something wrong sometimes.

I made a 6'11 center driving/finishing and 3 pt specialist.

The game must be on rookie cause having a 66 3-pt rating my guy hits everything.

Scored 67 points and went 11/19 from 3 against the NBA Stars team.

So I hit almost every shot in the prelude. Triple doubles, big scoring, blowouts, etc.

Come to the G-League and all of a sudden I miss every single shot while the opponent AI shoots 90% and lose every game by a wide margin.

This is very frustrating. I just want to lower the difficulty. I went 0/8 on threes last game as a pure sharp shooter, every single shot got my teammate grade up for good shot selection, slightly early or slightly late release on every time.

Is this a common occurrence?

6'5 Slashing/Shot Creator SG. I signed with the Grizzlies but asked for a trade now i'm starting for the Cavs i wasn't really feeling Mike Conley but i love the new look grizz jerseys. 3 contracts so far Nike,Gatorade, and footlocker

Made a 6'4 PG Playmaking Shotcreator and signed with Lakers, because they gave me the best offer unfortunately:

The whole line up is ****: nobody can shoot, nobody grab rebounds, no P&R, no Defense awareness, nothing....


Everybody think he s the go to guy: LeBron, Rondo, Ball, Corey Harris (what the **** is he doing here)
McGee is doing what he can to deserve the shaqtin fool MVP once again.
Beasley is the worst player ever, he is absolutely useless on offense and defence.


So after 11 Games Im finally Starter:
Difficult Shots and Ankle Breaker on Gold so I can create space for me and my teammates.


Noticed yesterday: The Rep Points were reduced....
f.e takeover was 200 now 160
assist was 70 now 50
and so on.....I guess I should thank to all the 24/7 grinders who are 94+ now, so 2k had to react.
Career getting worse from year to year.
The Gameplay is much better then 18 though. But I guess its a lil bit to slow especially in the park.

I'm having the exact opposite experience with the Lakers. Harris is like a 90 and LeBron gets LeBron numbers almost every night so I'm just being a role player and still winning and getting checks.

6'3 Point Guard - Passing-Ball Handling Primary , 3pt shooter Secondary. Currently with the Timberwolves and have played about 40 games right now. We're 4th in the power rankings.

I lead the league in 3pt% shooting at 61% which is insane. Currently on All-Star difficulty.

Why is Corey Harris almost a 90 OVR now? Think he's 89 OVR atm. I just hit 78 OVR.

I should have signed a one year deal like all other rookies, but I signed 4 years with the Timberwolves. I want to flex my options after my first year. Should I just ask for a trade?

So far. Being liked to 5 minute quarters makes every possession a chore. Especially when they want specific stats.

It's been so so, so far. I haven't and refuse to buy VC. So I'm still a 62 rated player and now in game 3 it's really showing how ridiculous this mode can be. I'm playing against the red haired guy from the Chinese league and when I saw a star appear under him I knew this was gonna be a long bite. He proceeded to make every single basket even when I played great d. He was 10 times faster on offense and defense then i am. Like he was 9 for 9 in the game at one point. And on defense everytime I brought the ball up to set up for a play, it would be almost a steal or a loose ball. I could break him down somewhat but his recovery time was instant. I like the defense but that was extremely frustrating. I quit the game and decided to hang it up until I play the other modes and get vc there.

Once you get to the NBA pick one of the teams that give you 1000 per game, one season will net you 82,000 at the very least.

Does anyone know for certain what the difficulty settings are for the Jordan Rec Center, Team Pro-Am, and Park? I would like to know so that I can practice my jumpshot on this setting.

Made a 6'9 PF sharp rim protector, on the Heat also going to not buy VC. Only at 65 lol but oh well I'm enjoying my career mode right now.

what does GM mode once you reach 90 overall actually mean? can you just do trades/signings etc? Or offseason stuff including drafting etc..
