This year's game is great. However, I still get sucked into animations way too easily. Also, some animations give an unnatural speed boost.

Common example is the running deny ball animation. Both you and the CPU will move at speeds much higher than your turbo.

It's not as bad as previous 2K, but still need improvement. There's still too much jerky, abrupt direction changes that's not really possible in real life, which makes playing defense against athletic players very, very annoying.

If they tone it down a notch or two it'll be perfect, IMO.

Reported from another (famous) forum. Please 2K, almost try to fix it, these animation really ruins the very good job you did this year

I'm all for footplanting and I'm guessing it's going to take a few games to get it to work properly. The new motion tech was introduced last year and had clipping issues. This year it was cleaned up some but introduced a lot of sliding. Should be interesting if 2k implements it next year seeing how Czar says it has some balancing issues. Something I'm guessing takes some time to work and that's something they don't have a lot of.

How do mean with a few games to work properly? I hope to find a new set of slider movement to minimize the problem

So i dunno, pick your poison i guess. 2K gameplay is just gonna be a balancing act until next gen. They change one thing and it sacrifices another. It's a constant cycle, and it will continue to go round and around until somebody builds a new physics/gameplay engine from the ground up with these learnings in mind.
I feel like snapping into correct position when you're very close to correct position is acceptable but this is not.

Live has tighter footplanting and doesnt really limit what players can do.

These sliding animations ruin immersion sometimes on a fastbreak (do the deny ball animation and hold on to somebody and your speed basically becomes theres as you enter a sped up animation).

I dont see how forcing a player to move into their desired spot accurately and to take momentum into account limits players.

The best 'flow/movement'? Well obviously because the animations are 3 seconds long sometimes its basically a cinenatic scene
                ... But hey VC sale!!

Yup, exactly my gripe from earlier. It's unbearable once you see it. Guys are literally sliding around magnetically non stop. Even if I'm trying to stand still on D.

Some of you have way too much time on your hands. Game is just fine. In fact it's quite possibly the best 2K yet.

It may be that it has simply just reached its peak. I'm not convinced it can really be improved, only balanced. I feel like it's a circus of tweaking which goes around and around rather than spiral upward at this point. Tweak one thing and sacrifice another aspect. Tweak another thing and sacrifice another aspect. Anyone disagree? Change my mind.

                      That's debatable.

New tech brings in new problems. As I said they introduced a new motion tech last year that had clipping issues. Now imagine what would happen when they add footplanting in the mix. We may not get proper footplanting till 2k21 or 22.

Im seeing alot of instances where i try to start a shot/layup with players like jason kidd or stockton, to get someone defending the rim to commit to my shot, only to have the defender jump, and morph back to the ground and take away the pass or just morph back to his man.

Yh dang its real sore on the eyes once you truly see how much it's happening. Hopefully they would have done away with this kind of thing once 2k hits next gen.
