Shooting is still OP. Facts.

You can't argue it, you literally cannot.

I have a pure sharp, I can go out and play with randoms and put up 20 shooting only 3s. Oh..I ain't even talking bout jrc. I can score 21 in a park game...just shooting 3s 10 feet beyond the arc.
Once the defense over commits I pump and drive for a pull up or even layup...
Yes...my 6'8 pure shooter can also eurostep and do spinning up and under layups.

Haven't even brought him to the rec or pro am..I actually enjoy a challenge.

These dudes out here putting the cheesy videos scoring over 100 in 5 minute quarters will do 1 thing and that's shed light upon how easy it is to shoot still...hopefully they (2k) decide it's really unbalanced and they fix it.

Also had a 7'3 pure rim protector hit 3 out of 3 three point shots. And then came back out after losing and hit over 50% the next game so it's not a fluke.

He was one of the people that inspired me to make my post scorer . He can planned to make a post scorer and glass cleaner PF. I was pretty excited about watching it honestly .

Dude went in with a full squad against randoms with 2 pure glass cleaners at 4 and 5 while he was guarded by a sharp at the 3..not to mention he was guarded by an a.i..what else did you expect to happen?

Yes, shooting wide open shots and making them at a 90% clip like sharp shooters do is a problem, hence the thread. If Steph Curry shoots 50% on wide open shots, nobody should be making shots as consistently as sharpshooters do in pro-am, period. I should not be shooting nearly 50% on threes, open or not, the shooting is messed up to the point Jordan Bell, Jerami Grant, Shaq etc can make threes in play now because they're open.

You clearly have a sharpshooter and don't want any type of realistic shooting to come into 2k.

I mean case in point, I played last night to grind some badges with a SHOT CREATOR, 76 3 ball on superstar difficulty and hit 13 of 20 3's going for limitless range silver.

Really need to bring back automatic shot contest. Most randoms I play with don't use the right stick to contest. Why bring manual shot contest when sharpshooters already had the advantage? They took away one helpful thing to defend. He wouldn't have had 151 points with automatic shot contest. So many times the player contested but it was to slow. So wide open.


I played one game the guy kept shooting right in front of me because he was use to people not holding a hand up.

What's funny is I subbed him because it's rare to see post up players on YouTube but I actually seen this and considered unsubbing. But if this the new content I'ma have to..14 year olds might like it but at the end of the day I'm tryna get online and play some real ball. I like seeing people emulate the game, run real strategies. Which is mainly why I never supported the 2k e league business

Sharps and stretch are the only archetype that needs a whole team to communicate and rotate just to put a stop to it. You got a whole team of randoms? Forget about it

I've been saying it for a long time and I'll say it again:

NO NBA player, no matter how talented, is hitting 100% of his open looks. Not one of them is shooting north of 60-70% on a consistent basis. The BEST shooters are barely above 50 on wide open looks. This needs to be reflected. There can still be a skill gap herein. If you hit really great timing on your shot and you're a sharp, maybe there's a 70 percent chance that falls. If you miss your timing a little, maybe you hit that an average amount (50%, given you're a maxed out shooter.). If you miss your timing badly, maybe you fall to 30%. Nothing needs to be guaranteed to give a skill gap.

There is also balance here. A change like this *should* balance expected points per shot so that sharps aren't SO overpowered. But who knows...

I just can't handle stretch 4s or 5s. I miss open layups (literal feedback by the game) with 90 standing layup, yet those guys drain 70% threes in my face. @2K Please get rid of Mike Wang and get someone competent.

This. A bunch of Cherry Picking buckets, wraps, and light contest by the A.I. The contest mechanics definitely need a tune though. It's still pretty atrocious at times.

For real bro I'm so salty about this lol. Feel completely misled. There's no balance and gameplay is as wack as ever. Just make the shooting closer to realistic percentages and then let's tune from there. Why the hell is that so hard to grasp. And I haven't seen anything from that guy who said limitless would be nerfed too

It will never be fixed..if he scaled back open shooting %’s the YouTube community would be in a uproar. To them a skills gap means being able to green every open jumper if they’re a sharp.

They may as well give us a real fg% option for online my league
