Yeah, remember when Czar and myself warned that, by whining about steals, that you would be losing/sacrificing ball tangibility?

Congratulations. I don’t ever want to hear the words ‘full ball tangibility’ from this place ever again. The only thing that should’ve happened was, if your steal rating was low, that you’d be much more prone to being called for a reach-in call. But now we have lost full ball tangibility JUST LIKE CZAR WARNED. But nope, nobody wanted to listen.

This community doesn’t know what it wants.

They hammered about ball tangibility all year last year and got what they wanted.

Just had my first game since the patch and I can't tell much difference except that your defender seems to move better when playing lockdown D. This is obviously a pro.

I still feel like there are too many steals and not enough foul calls. In the game I played the opposing team (Clippers) had more steals than fouls at the end of the game.

3 point percentages were pretty realistic from what I could tell.

Still enjoying the game.

I dont know man.

If we boost layups anymore it feels like well be in 2K18 territory with paint D. Guys are converting some crazy stuff already.

The defense actually got some wins this patch. It's still not on level with the offense but it definitely got SOME support. The hands up movement is a plus. TBH the defense now earns some light contests that are iffy but it feels a heck of a lot more balanced than before.

It's really not that difficult for them to simply boost layups a bit, and lower 3 point percentage. I just don't understand why it's acceptable that sharps are shooting 60-70% from 3 while bigs can't make layups, it's backwards.

So let me get this straight. Non sports games are threatening the popularity of 2k basketball? Dude just admit it, you don't like the game and move on. That is the most ridiculous comment that I have read in a long time.

Of course it does. Popular and Anticipated games like rdr2 gonna drive a lot of gamers away from 2k, especially if they keep going down this path.
Every events turn into a mess.
Servers are garbage. Gamers are losing out a ton of vc, mypoints and time, all these bugs, glitches and their greed are major turn off.
2k completely ignoring the issues at hand, doesn't help their cause at all.

Layups were a problem for y’all in 18? I was a MONSTER down there defensively . People couldn’t finish over me .

Instead of boosting layup success I would be open to better , more swift animations for elite finishers . That ugly standing soft layup animation that kills all momentum ain’t it chief .

I didnt mess with 2K18 Pro-Am much. Rim protection was that reliable? I'm surprised there were so many defensive complaints here then. (Kind of)

I just know when Mike Wang is calling paint defense shaky it's probably rough, lol. This was probably more evident in PNO. Dudes were hip riding to the promised land often.

Definitely dig your suggestion though.

Honestly, I don't understand why there's so much resistance to this request either. No one is really asking them to be nerfed down to realistic NBA percentages as most of us still recognize that is a video game at the end of the day.

I had a Rim Protector/Post Scoring Center last year. Basically, the only players that were scoring were the ones that could trigger the standing dunk animation on demand or fake you out your drawers.

Pros: Dodgeball only allows 6 minutes of hiding instead of the previous 8 minutes and the 500 MyPoints you get from daily spin only takes 2 or 3 minutes now.

Cons: ... Just click on any thread on this site.

Relatively speaking though, I guess the patch made the game “better” than it was before.

They patch the game to make it better and to fix flaws which other games due as well, that includes madden, nba live and non sports game. Your argument is flawed but carry on.

Really it all depends, on how much of a avid basketball fan you are, on whether you will stop playing NBA2k19, in favor of a non sports game. I only play sports game on my PS4, and at the moment the only game new game I have that I play at all is NBA2k19. Nor do I have any plans for a non sports game on my console, unless I decide to buy farm simulator 19 for my console instead of my gaming PC, as its the only non sports game I even play, or have any desire to play.


Not that I think NBA2k19 is perfect by any means, the lack of fouls, especially charging and blocking fouls, along with the lack of fouls on 3pt attempts, definitely ticks me off, and the devs didnt seem to fix this in the patch. And since I only play offline MyLeague, it really sucks. But the game also does some good things as well. I need to play a little more since this last patch, but from what I can see, they didnt really fix the lack of fouls issue. There seems to be more shooting fouls being called, close to the basket, but no other fouls really being called. Hopefully I just need to play a little more, but cant say Im happy, with the devs at the moment. I get online is where their make a lot of money, but to call you game a basketball simulation, is a joke, if the game doesnt play that way offline.

Your post doesn’t acknowledge the server issues at all. #simnation isn’t the publisher’s main demographic, dude. For years now; park events have caused disconnects & glitched VC payouts. “Fraud gamers”, really?
