How do y’all feel about not being able to see records before games?

Probably influenced by a Youtuber....made some noise about records or some nonsense and 2k happily obliges.

It's just beyond ridiculous. I pay ZERO attention to records. I play with randoms 100% of the time and I'm like 70-120. I dont care.
I've played with/against people with bad records and they've been good games. And I've also beaten teams with over 500 wins
Means nothing, in my opinion. But I do see record/phone checking all the time

+1 to records being meaningless.
Some people have bad records because they run with someone who brings down the team, but they're loyal to who they run with. I respect that, but all it can take is one to bring the team down no matter what mode you play.
Some people have good records because they get carried hard.
And it's sort of like the NBA. Put someone in the right situation and they can thrive with what they're comfortable doingComment

Re: How do y’all feel about not being able to see records before games?
I’m on the fence I guess. I take my record as a point of pride, somewhat, as I mostly play alone so I feel like my record reflects the positive influence I can have on a game. I mostly play Rec though so there’s not really people dodging games. When I do occasionally play Park, I definitely see what a lot of you are saying. I see squads of players running around the Park basically looking for easy wins and I see a lot of people jumping off got next any time someone suspect lines up next to them. It feels like every year it takes longer and longer to actually get into a game in Park (which is why I play Rec mostly).
I generally only check the players that are waiting to see if they’re all inside scorers. I’m an inside big so it makes for a terrible game if there’s no shooters on my team.
I guess I would be ok if they didn’t show records as long as I could still see mine.Comment

Re: How do y’all feel about not being able to see records before games?
The simple solution to this is to give each user the option to private their account or make it public. There are people who really take pride in their record and want to show it off, so let them. There are other people who play with random's most of the time and have a bad record - and they would like to hide their record because they're insecure about or feel it doesn't accurately reflect them, so let them.
Everyone in here keeps saying that records don't mean anything and they're meaningless.... Yes, records are that for FOR YOU, that doesn't mean they're like that for everyone.Comment

I generally don't play with randoms so i still have a positive record but none of my characters are above an 87 and they still dodge me. Lmfao
