Yeah I already told one of my friends I’m not playing next year if this GOT NEXT stuff returns again. I actually have friends that play but it doesn’t always workout that we are all on. So the majority of the Time only 2 of us are on at a time and it takes forever to find a game and when you finally find one the 3rd teammate sometimes is a terrible Player so we lose and have to keep searching until we get a game with a third person who compliments our game.

This is even harder finding games alone cuz now you gotta wait around and then eventually figure out how 2 strangers play to have a chance at staying on. This recipe makes for a lot of waiting. Really not interested in grinding badges and free throw golf trash while waiting on pods for 2k20.

2k19 is a good game though I like it overall but this park system has to change. I can just keep playing 2k19 next year if I want to play other modes.

I don't know what part of the country they were living in, but if I got next, I GOT NEXT. You think I'm going to give up my next just because you showed up with a squad of 5? Nope...I'm just going to grab some people who are waiting and/or grabbed some people from the losing team, and I'm going to play next.

To me, that's how the park should be. Give each court a waiting queue with a maximum of 3-5 slots, then people can play in the order they arrived to the court. Also, let people queue their squad from the waiting screen.

That would not solve the problem my friend!
In that case, there would probably be no game at all.


The only solution is: to seperate Parks in 2 different types!


1. for "casual" gamers without any records and stats, just for fun...everybody plays with anybody. No Squads, no amateur, no elite, no OVR, nothing.
Only the ID and the Position with archetype should be shown.


2. the other park for tryhards who love to show how "good" they are.
with stats records rep and all that stuf!!!
And this would shown who really is an elite player....
Because I see only games where elite plays against amateur, if another elite squad is next, the others go away...thats not a good reputation system!!!

Honestly, even that would still be a poor implementation. There's no reason in a video game that I should need to sit and watch other people play before I can play. I want to get on and get into a game. If I want to wait for a game, I'll go to a court in real life.

The only possible way I might be ok with it is if we could do other things while waiting: drills, play our next My Career game, etc. Something so we're not just standing still, waiting. Hell, we can't even upgrade attributes or change our clothing while sitting on a got next spot. Every part of the system is bad.

Fouls are still completely broken... The NBA is averaging 23 free throw attempts per game, yet I am seeing a total of 7 fouls combined, and only 3 free throw attempts...

I agree. Matchmaking is the best way to go. As for the snobs, just make it so you can’t see anyone’s records, stats, rep, etc. until after the game is over. You should be able to see their archetypes so you know their play style, but that’s it.

It's not about the lack of people playing. But because I play by myself, it's impossible to actually get other people to join the got next spots with me. If I join an open spot when someone else is waiting, they immediately back out.

It's just an awful system. Why do I need to physically walk around and find a game to play, and just hope that some random people will choose to join me? The other day, I literally sat on a got next spot for 20 minutes, while the team that won the previous game was waiting for other people to join. A squad walked up and instantly the game started. Basically, they cut me in line for the game because no one else wanted to play with me, even though I had been waiting.

The community is heavily into checking Player Cards this year and if your win % is awful or you're a bronze amateur, you're not going to get any games. For those struggling to get games or have no friends to play with I can understand why you guys would want a matchmaking system. It's really not THAT hard to find casual or hardcore players to run with in Park though. This is coming from a person who switched consoles this year and started with 0 friends on PS4. I like the current set up. Being able to roam freely and all that is pretty cool to me. I also know if I go to the park solo I'm able to find a Center and Guard of equal skill level to streak with. The biggest con I see is players running off courts when Elite Players pull up. At times I wish I was an Amateur again. On another note I can only imagine how atrocious matchmaking would be constantly playing with randoms. Not to mention people backing out every chance they get once you get a complete team. The JRC is a prime example. I'll pass on that.

Skill Based Matchmaking wouldn't be that fun for some either. I don't think people would prefer to play against try hards 24/7/365 lol.

With the Group feature on Xbox and the communities on PS4, there's really no excuse to complain about not having people to run with or not being able to get games in. Use those if you haven't they will make a difference for ya.

Again, it shouldn’t fall on me to have to search for people to play with. And even if I find other players, we shouldn’t have to watch other people play before we can get into a game.

I get maybe 10-12 hours per week to game. I have no interest in spending half of that standing in one spot watching other people play. If I wanted to do that, I’d go on YouTube or Twitch.

The way it is now, if you haven’t already spent a large amount of time playing online, you’re not going to find a game. That is a poorly designed system.

What about player mentorship in MyLeague?
