I know this is gonna be unpopular, but I think it needs to be said: Some of y'all sound really entitled, or sound like you think your opinions are fact, when you're either completely wrong or haven't dug deep enough to fix problems you claim exist.

You CAN tell your defenders who to help off and who not to help off of.

If you turn up the Take Charge tendencies, you will see players step in to draw offensive fouls.

Slow passes? There's a Pass Speed slider.

Double tap the shoot button while moving the left stick toward the non-ball hand for a face-button Euro Step.

Takeover badges should be removed? Why? Don't just say it, present your case.

New motion system? Pass/foul system should be completely redone? That's not something that can happen overnight or on a whim; plus, it's a huge risk that could easily create more problems than it causes.

Rebounding feels scripted? Player proportions are off? Elaborate. Show some evidence.

We should feel fortunate that game developers, and 2K especially, are so in-tune with their fanbases at this point in video-game culture. If you really care about the game, as I'm sure we all do, use that luxury as wisely as you can.

The Pro-am should be with fixed and balanced archetypes as in the 2K league

I get what you’re saying and agree for the most part. But have to disagree with the player proportions part.
It’s been shown countless times throughout countless threads in particular the art thread how off players body/shoes/accessories proportions are and still need work.

@RyanFitzMagic: Some of y'all sound really entitled, or sound like you think your opinions are fact, when you're either completely wrong or haven't dug deep enough to fix problems you claim exist.

response: bro this is a wish-list thread, not instructions to 2k devs....relax your here trying to discredit ppls opinion and replace them with your own and claiming them to be users errors with so many game modes there is no access to adjusting sliders....

You CAN tell your defenders who to help off and who not to help off of.
response: can u plz show me how to tell the game not to help or rotate off Stephen Curry plz sir...i will wait sir...currently neither from defensive setting from timeouts nor gameplan from pause menu can i access any setting specifically to tell a defender not to rotate..only drive help rules for the entire team, pre-rotate (which is set to no by default) again entire team or individual....now pre-rotate which is great and i love that they have it is not the same as not helping off of...pre-ratate is about when the ball is on the strong side the weak side would sink to help with drives from the strong side not the same as telling a defender not to help off on curry specially kinda like a box and 1, so if your gonna tell me to use quick deffensive setting of STAY AT HOME, is just a no switching on picks on or away from ball...all am asking for is a more in-depth ability

If you turn up the Take Charge tendencies, you will see players step in to draw offensive fouls.
response: so what if am playing PNO, is this viable? besides am talking about user input, u could be in a good defensive position and the offensive shot attempt animations will slide the deffender out the way regardless of how high foul frequency is set...blocking could be at 0 and charge at 100, my challenge to u is to show me how from a user perspective he can take succesful charges using positioning as a META for smaller/less athletic defenders trying to play defense below the rim in the paint

Slow passes? There's a Pass Speed slider.
never mess with pass speeds it will break the game, this came from Da_Czar himself on his youtube channel on 2k sliders, because pass speeds are in relation to defensive movement speed

Double tap the shoot button while moving the left stick toward the non-ball hand for a face-button Euro Step.
response: am not asking for nothing 2k having done b4, this makes the eurotep direction only credible to what hand the ball is in, although do able why is a bad to go back to you choosing a direction yourself and tap a face button? how they had it at first was perfectly fine double tapping without turbo to euro, holding with turbo to spin, and tapping with turbo to pro hop...

Takeover badges should be removed? Why? Don't just say it, present your case.
response: my case is that it makes the game arcade, how is it fun to get Lamarcus in take over mode and all i have to do is give him the ball in the post tap shoot face button to spin and completely clear out a defender for an easy lay up and dunk, i mean if the want to keep it fine, but can i have a barebones mode or the ability to turn it off plz..is that ok with you?

Rebounding feels scripted? Player proportions are off? Elaborate. Show some evidence.
response: bro its all over youtube, u just have to go check, the idea of a completely loose ball is not entirely true in 2k right now, the ball is always projected towards going out of bounds or towards a player, so when a rebound is coming off the rim its going towards a selected player and yes u can interrupt or intercept the ball during this travel but, its harder than its supposed to, if u want to scrutinize this before an rebound as a user watch as the cpu reshuffles b4 the ball comes off the rim by pushing u aside or giving u a late jumping rebound attempt or not at all so u cant interrupt the rebound animation
or the ball heading towards your hands only to be snatch last minute from somebody behind u with some serious clipping where their hands are going through you user controlled players head and shoulders

We should feel fortunate that game developers, and 2K especially, are so in-tune with their fanbases at this point in video-game culture. If you really care about the game, as I'm sure we all do, use that luxury as wisely as you can.

response: so your saying a people posting in a whislist thread is not caring about the game or is a wise use of expressing and sharing people's opinions on a game, the mare fact that people are on here posting isn't a sign of caring?

Tell Curry's defender to Deny Ball. It's seriously that simple.

If you're playing online and you expect realism, I think your expectations are too high. ffs, it's five-minute quarters (or whatever the hell, haven't played in years) and 99% of people using the cheapest stupidest strategies they can think of.

I can't imagine why the Pass Speed slider would even exist if a literal developer would say to never touch it.

You want to be able to Euro Step toward your ball hand? You know how difficult that is? I'd say about 95% of Euro Steps IRL are side-steps away from the ball hand. Regardless, even if it was just the face button without left-stick input, the direction you Euro Step towards would be presumably random, and I guarantee you'd hate that.

Except that's not the case at all. If it is, your sliders suck and it's probably way too easy to score overall, not just in that scenario.

It doesn't matter. Developing a video game is hard af. Help make 2K's job easier by showing them evidence of your claim instead of making them look it up themselves.

I'm saying that asking for things to be improved that are way too grandiose, already fixable by the user, or just plain wrong, is not conducive to helping 2K improving the game from year to year.

It's why I like EA's system with GameChangers. They only take official input and feedback from players who definitely know what they're talking about, and those players are the ones who research stuff before they say it, and show evidence to support the idea of something being broken.

Be like those guys. Don't waste 2K's time by giving them stuff to read in a wishlist thread that's totally baseless.

Regardless, I'm not about to derail this entire thread. I'm done with this conversation. I just don't want this thread to get flooded with low-quality wishes when 2K only has a year per development cycle.

-Being able to choose who jumps at center court to start the game would be a cool, realistic addition. Some teams don't use their center all the time

-I like the way we can double-tap the shoot button for a spin jumper, but I think there should be a way to branch from that and do a fake-spin jumper (like a shimmy fade in the post, except off a faceup drive)

Also, I wish we could call plays while holding LT to protect the ball. IIRC, when you're protecting the ball and bring up the OTF play-call menu, your player will stop protecting even if you keep holding LT

I said something similar in another thread, but more playoff customization would be cool. Like the ability to add to/subtract from the number of teams that get in.

                        MyCareer:

I know there will be another story. I'm tired of the whole entitled arrogant player who isn't a good teammate.

-Bring back the NCAA. I enjoyed the pre-NBA experience in 2k16 and 17. I would love a 4-5 game experience, draft combine.

Bring back Draft experience. I don't really care for the whole undrafted stories. I loved the draft experience from last gen. The interview process and ability to sway teams to or not to draft you. I get last two years, we were able to pick our team to start out at. I just want the realistic experience. I would love to start out in march madness similar to how Madden is doing this year. You have 4 games total. Lose and your off to pre draft experience. More games you player, the more chance to boost your stock and your ratings. I would love to see the pre-draft interviews. I would like draft to have logic. If team has an established starter I want them to avoid drafting you.

-I would love to see Summer League make a return. For me, the more depth they have the better.

-There needs to be less restrictions when choosing an Archetype. Still don't have the ability to recreate NBA stars. Our players are pretty much glorified role players. I get that they are shaping the archetypes with Pro-AM/E-Sports in mind. But for those who are offline only, we are restricted. If I want to have a player similar to a young legend, then let me. I would love to create a young Hakeem. I didn't spend a dime on VC this year. But I don't like they are strong arming you to buy it with starting you off as a 60 OVR player. I like the NBA Live model, where you start off at 70 OVR and physical ratings are pretty much at max capacity. That is how I want it. I don't want to see my player go from 50 speed to 80. Its very unrealistic. I rather start out around 70-80 OVR based on how well you do pre draft. I want my player to actually good at his playing style. If I'm a 3 & D player, I actually want to be able to defend and shoot 3s at the start. I get that they don't want everyone to be all around players. But our archetypes should be the base of our ability not the limitation. Think of players like Kawhi and Jimmy Butler. Started off as defensive role players, but with hard work they turned in elite two way players. But with our current set up, we can't become any better then what our archetype suggests. I want to earn the ability to add more elements to my game. I rather see MyCareer OVR grading similar to default rosters grading. There is no way most of these builds should reach 99 OVR. Either allow us to have players that are worth the 99 OVR or show true rating.

-Fix AI team Logic. Last few years, team roster logic has been terrible. I really dislike the constant logjam at positions especially when there isn't depth at other positions. I remember playing on a team last year as a Center and having 5 of 6 bench players being BIGs. Teams need to be more aware of their team needs. I hated being on contending teams with a starting teammate with a very low OVR. One thing they can do is use the team direction from MyLeague. Where your team can automatically decide whether it is contending or rebuilding. Where if your team is rebuilding, then we can expect them to have our young teammates to play a lot of minutes and not try to get better at weak positions. But if you're on a contending team, they will try to get better at position that is under performing. I remember being on a team that was doing well but we had this 75 OVR SF who only ability is to 3s at a low percentange. I wish teams would recognize when they need to get better at positions.
-Bring back individual ratings. I miss the days where we can individually boost each rating instead it being paired up. It gave us better ability to create the type of player we wanted. I remember one year that we had the ability to buy back ratings. Where if we spent 2000 XP/VC on a rating and didn't like it, we had ability to take it back and use the XP on a different rating. Also I don't like that they tied ratings to badges. I want to be able to improve Free Throw and On Ball D manually not have to grind for badges.

-Not sure how well it was received but, I would like to have the ability to each badge to Bronze like how it was a few years ago. With how restrictive archetypes has been, having the ability to earn any badge could make us have the player we want.

-There needs to be more depth as for as offline goes. Once you get past year 1 and get that max contract, nothing really to play for and to actually spend the money on besides accessories and clothes.

-Miscellaneous. When it comes to contract negotiations, I want to see how the moves the teams made. I never liked not knowing how the team will be constructed until I sim to start of season. As I progress to the final stage of contract negotiations, I want to see who else the team signed and who they drafted. A lot of times I am on the fence with choosing a team because I want to see if they actually improve their team or if they have a high draft pick I want to pair with. Also I want to be able to see mock drafts in the menu and keep up to date with future prospects. I want to be able to post tweets like we use too.

-Allow Manual Save. That is almost the biggest thing for me. I can't stand not being able to make manual saves. I don't like the auto save. So many times, I want to go back and do something over. Maybe I simmed ahead too much and a key player got injured. Or I signed with a team and instantly regret it. Or my team had a bad overall and I wanted to see if going back ensures we get top pick. I want to be able to load up a manual save without having to start over.

I know they put a bandaid on this because it might be hard to fix, but every pass in the paint doesn't have to be a steal ....my main concern is when mismatches happen I have had a pg end up guarding a center and even if I pass it with Y(overhead pass) the pg will steal it because the pass is floaty and doesn't go over his head...I hope that's fixed in 20 when mismatches happen

Some players need to be more slippery than others. lEveryone is the same. Guys like deaaron fox and kemba walker need to be slippery.

Myleague gameplay needs to get rid off strange mycareer stuff (like when passing in to space to an open player and he just stands there, not taking a shot or passing it to someone else).
What I mean is sometimes when playing mycareer it feels like the CPU won't let you get easy assists,I'm sure you've been there a bunch of times.
THIS MAN...honestly I get so ANGRY tying to get around a body only to feel like an invisible wall is stopping me from progressing. I get picked from my own teammates then the person I'm playing against!!
