I loved NBA 2k19 the most pre patch 4... I still like it but I dont love it no more. I liked 2k18 but getting by the CPU was way to easy

I’ll hope you can choose the court for all time teams next year instead of only the current court

Well the "fix" of blowbys alone made 2k19 much more enjoyable than 2k18 for me. But, again, 2k "overfixed" a bad thing by making naturally bad defenders way too good. In other words, 2k is terrible at balancing things. So im sure 2k20 will fix some stuff but on the other hand introduce new problems. Im at a point where I think that their engine doesnt allow them to make certain things right without breaking other stuff.

Fix Lockdown defenders and the game is much better overnight. That build is game breaking. They do this every year. One build is always insanely overpowered. It's a PURE defensive build, it should not be greening 3's and dunking on 2 defenders. The build should struggle to make a 3 even when left wide open all game.

Not even gonna get into the steals from ball handlers this year, yeah I know you can hold L2 but come on. You really think an NBA guard is scared to dribble in front of ANYONE in the NBA? No. Rips come when a player is sleeping once in a while but in 2k19 it can happen 2-3 times in one possession. I've seen it done many times.

I am afraid 2k20 will be the same hot mess same engine same mechanical issues and unbalanced gameplay with patches all year . 2k is declining gameplay wise

1 This goes for all builds.

2 JJ Reddick ( pure sharp ) should be very afraid to dribble in front of Kawhi ( Lockdown ) without protecting the ball.

i'm expecting lackluster offline modes, consistent poor presentation and push for VC in the my career mode. Offline will still be fun with friends, nothing really new or exciting. This will be the first year I may not buy on launch.

I can see that but a guy with ball control over 80 should not fear any defender ripping him on the court. If you're careless dribbling into a crowd yeah sure. If they want to leave lockdowns the way they are then make them useless on offense. Dunk in the 50's, 3 in the 40's, no ball handling or passing skills.

Something has to give, right? Like it's a bubble you keep filling with air, it's going to pop eventually. If they continue down this path, i see live 10 happening again. If everyone wants to shoot and dunk and get steals and dribble then let them have it. Go back to where everyone is a 99 7' tall and all the badges. Let's see how long it takes for the twitterverse to explode. Right now, yet again, as it happens every year, you can't leave a glass cleaner. With a 40 three he can boost and put on a "money" jumper and green. No badges, no rating. Then he can clobber your big man and get 25 rebounds too.

I mean, they gave lock downs corner specialist so you couldnt just leave them all, game. But now, they can go 6/ 6 top,of the arc with light defense! I mean... You really gotta step on them like a sharp! And sharps have been wishy washy all year. They're back to chucking right in your grill. I don,t get it man... It's like i've played 6 different versions of 2k19 this year. I've created 12 characters and as soon as i get comfortable they change it again. I said to he'll with it and made a lock down. My badges aren't maxed but I'm at least holding my match ups to under 20 every game. A couple have gotten off early, but I can at least adjust and pick my poison with this guy.

19 was better than 18, it just is.

Too many people base how good a 2k was based on how good they happened to be that year. Objectively 2k19 fixed a lot of community complaints and added more fun stuff like the cages even if no one played it.

Honestly all 2k is missing is matchmaking. It’s no coincidence that when the game play finally started being even, and less animation based the skill gap got WAY larger. The 2k god player la could still dominate but now the difference between average and elite players is so large. It just wasn’t in 2k18.

                          - Seperate parks into ranked and unranked

                          - Records only kept for ranked park and Team Pro Am

                          - JRC is two 5min halves

                          - Rewards to earn that aren't tied to top 10 in a PvP event

                          - MyTeam style challenges to level up MyPlayer

                          - Co Op vs CPU to level up MyPlayer

                          - Ranked ProAm is pre made balanced classes, like in 2kLeague

                          - "Seasons" that yield different rewards and track progress

Matchmaking and unranked and ranked parks and walk ima would make this game AMAZING.

anything that encourages elite players to only compete vs each other is a plus for the game. I can’t take anyone’s record seriously because let’s be honest, we all hunted for lesser competition. If I’m playing with my amateur 2 friend and my pro 1 friend and I’m a pro 2 I’m not gonna play 5 elite teams in a row. I’m just not. It’s suicide. Elites and pros and amateurs need their own park

I expect there to be a jump from 19 to 20. There wasn't really a big jump from 18 to 19. Outside of the Prelude and updated neighborhood, MyCareer was pretty much the same(not counting online aspects). Offline MyLeague has barely seen any changes last 2-3 years, but luckily it is deep enough not to be an issue. CPU On-Ball D went from easily beat by Blow Bys in 18 to every player playing like Kawhi.

I expect 2k20 to have another different story in MyCareer. I expect them to add more to presentation. MyLeague has almost all core elements of a season mode. They can always improve the AI roster management and add more presentation to MyLeague. As far as Gameplay, I expect them to try to make gameplay more smoother and players less tied to each other

I would expect 2k20 to be the biggest re-hash yet. It'll be the last on the ps4 most likely and 2k21 will get a lot of focus from the devs, I'm sure.
