    VC Cost in older 2k

Can anyone tell me if vc is cheaper for older 2k games?

Want to buy 2k and have my nephew get as well in order to teach him how 5 man basketball is played. He lives in Panama and loves basketball, but all he can really play there is in a park with couple other people at a time usually.

Anyway would like to get an older version where hopefully vc is a reduced price.

Oh were going to be getting it for PC if that changes anything, cause that's all he had to pay on.

    Thanks.

The servers aren’t on anymore for any of the 2k games before 2k18 and I’m sure abc is the same price on there as it is on 2k19 but don’t quote me on it

You dont need VC in order to teach anyone the game. Just go to quick game and play exhibition

Thanks for the answers, but basically my main question still unanswered, is vc the same cost for 18 and 19?

I know I don't need vc for the teaching part, but I think he'd enjoy, my career and park games etc. And he has limited cash flow so just factoring it in.

So if the servers are closed for everything older than 18, why is steam still charging full price for 17?

19 is way easier to get VC in 19 18 was a pain u can get 2K a game in MYCarrer once u get up to 85 in 19 while in 18 the max was 1'350 VC a game

case in point in 18 i got up to a 78 and then got bored and quit
in 19 i went from 60 to 90 in 4 mos without spending any real $ for VC
the only pos about 18 is its easyer to play REC in 18

Jk31, I'll play and pay how I want to. If I want to buy vc for me and my nephew or want to play without buying vc. Either way I shall do so without asking your blessing first.

Don't see how it's your business, or why you'd care enough to want to tell me what to do.

                Basically, f*ck off.

Get 19. Firstly, more bang for buck since the servers will be on for another 1.5 years). 2nd, the actual cost of VC is the same, but there are more ways to earn in game. With that said, both are pretty savage in regards to how far you can 'stretch' VC.

So to answer the initial question, the cost is the same, but buying power a bit better this year.

it is my Business because people like you, who throw money at companies like 2k ruined gaming because nowadays All those ****ty microtransactions are Part of every game. if all of you guys stopped doing so, they would not be in the game any more!

No, it's not your business how he spends his money for his enjoyment.

Also, stop acting like it was the players idea to put things behind a paywall and nickle and dime each other with VC and cosmetic items.

Players who choose to spend their money are not what should be concerning you. The companies that implement it should be. If you don't like how gaming is nowadays, then stop playing games. Vote with your personal wallet. It's up to each individual to decide how they spend their money and what they spend their money on. If someone thinks spending $50 on VC is fine, then that's great. You have absolutely no right to belittle people just because they choose to spend their money differently than you do.

                      And to answer TCs question:

Just buy 2k19. VC packs are essentially the same price, but it's easier to obtain it for free in 2k19 than in previous seasons. So you can spend $20 and level up your MyCareer guy to a normal level, then just play the game and you'll be leveled up in no time.

Of course it wasn't their idea. But do you really think that companies would put microtransactions in the game if nobody would be buying these?

Oh yeah, I vote with my wallet. I only buy 2k when it's on sale for around 20€. Most of the other "modern stuff" I don't bother buying.

Was NBA 2K13 the first time they introduced my career? If I remember, that's how it was done correctly, and play offline without any "cash purchases" i don't even think you could spend real money. That's what I want brought baack. I want them to give us a 60 dollar game with all the fucntionality, but not have VC, I know, I live in a dream world.

IIRC My Career began in 2K10, back then there were no badges and it was all about earning skill points in games. The only real aggravating thing was the drills would randomly upgrade one of 3 or 4 attributes by 1 so sometimes you would have to reboot the game and run them repeatedly if you needed points in a specific attribute.

VC cost is the same I think.

I also think there's a VC glitch you can use in 2k18, not too sure. 2k19 has a VC glitch, but I think they're banning folks now.
