Pissed I just learned about branching spin moves, and euros into floaters. Smh. That opens up the whole drive game.

I'm not a fan of Defensive Players having a small arrow under the ball handler indicating where they're leaning or attempting to go. That sounds awful.

Not directed at you because I don’t know you’re thoughts.
With all the advantages the offense has, shot meter, spam dribbling with no repercussions, suck in screens, glass cleaners getting a ring showing them where to go, and many other things, it’s kind of nice that defense is finally getting something.
I’m against any of the crutches they’ve put in to help casual players, but if they are going to give offense so many advantages, then defense needs some as well.

“Clamps” is a real life term used for hoopers when somebody is getting locked up though....

Honestly, they would probably get a lot more credit if the game showed you how to do some of those things. 2KU is incredibly sparse in terms of good information, and outside of that, a lot of the useful controls in the game aren't easily found anywhere. 2K has always done a pretty poor job of onboarding.

some of this sounds really good and is getting me excited, but im tempering that excitement. Last year we had all this communication pre launch (like we are getting now) then post release when all the exploits came out we got radio silence for long stretches. hopefully this year post release support and interaction with the community continues.

It always bothers me when people tell him to fix the game. He and LD2k can pass along info to the developers, but neither actually “work” on the development team.
Before LD2k left he was also a community manager, but I’m not sure what his title is since he came back.

                Very true.

They could do a much better job with the advanced stuff, and there are a fair share of moves/techniques that arent even listed in the game.

I know everyone isn't into 'labbing'...(It's second nature to me as a fighting game player)....but I'm always surprised at some of the things people dont know about late in the games cycle.

That's my issue. I don't have nearly as much time to play video games as I used to, so I don't want to spend as much time experimenting to see if something is possible. I have no issues needing to practice to do advanced moves and whatnot, but I shouldn't need to scour the internet just to see what's possible lol.

I don't look at badges as redundant, I look at badges as a quick glance scouting report nothing more.

These badges are so dumb why are they doubling up on all of these concepts that ratings already cover?... just a waste of time to grind even more. We need a sim mode with no badges. This is just so frustrating. I hope this rework is actually logical and not terrible execution like Dimer where it is unrealistic percentage boosts.

Heck, I’m a pretty clueless, basic gamer and I wasn’t even aware L3 moved the screen to the other side. I’ve only really been playing the last two years but I felt like an idiot.

And executing floaters down the lane? I’m just getting decent in the post. My dribble game still sucks lol. If I ever played an experienced gamer online (I’m an offline only franchise/myleague guy) I would get wrecked. Trying to find out Freestyle offence means hitting dpad right and then L1 was hard to find.

                              - Handles for days badge reduces stamina loss while dribbling

-Slashers are very strong in the current build

Nothing against you, but I hate every word you just posted. [emoji23]
Volume score, or volume shooter as it should be called, will encourage and likely increase the number of bad shots people take, and make.
There should absolutely be negative badges if there’s going to be so many badges period.
A volume shooter in real basketball is often also a very streaky shooter. Sure they’ll have some good games, but they’ll have just as many, or more, bad games.
Handles for days, reduces stamina loss while dribbling. Smh
What’s the point of stamina effecting dribbling if you’re just gonna give a badge to negate it? Why isn’t there a badge to negate stamina drain for anyone else? Like a floor runner badge or something.
Now we will still have people dribbling 23 seconds off the clock right into a defenders chest with no repercussions.
Slashers are very strong, I’ve even heard OP, in the current build.
This drives me nuts. Slashers already just drive to the bucket and hit X or square and finish on 5 defenders 80-90% of the time.
Defense has to be respected regardless of build and badges. If you’re taking and forcing bad shots you have to be punished, period! Whether it’s one defender in great position or five players waiting at the basket for you.

-Dive for loose ball animations can be passed out of
-Tireless Scorer is now split into Relentless Finisher and Tireless Shooter
-Fancy Footwork badge for advanced gathers
                                - If shot meter is turned off other players don't see it for that player either
-Screens are less grabby with more branch out points
-PnR Maestro replaced with Needle Threader, also works for passing outside PnR
