Why do y'all hate greens so much? I understand they are not realistic FX-wise, but there are absolutely shots that, as a shooter, you feel you did everything right and it's going to drop. It's just a cool little animation to reward the player for perfect execution.

Re: Mike Wang tweets about 2K20
How do you know the separating online from offline would result in unrestricted created players? It may just be that they don’t envision the mode being played that way. I’ve played plenty of sports games where the offline career modes are restricted. It’s funny there’s always been this conjecture that separating career mode would mean you could make God-Players offline but for all we know it could just be a design decision.Comment

I wonder how they're going to handle the movement of bigs that are quick and have above average athletic ability, but aren't necessarily a guard. For example, Bam Adebayo.#HeatNation

My thing is just the 100% make chance on it. Other than that, I have zero problems with greens. Animations are fine. But I do want more realistic shooting and perfect execution shouldn't mean 100% make imo, cuz it doesn't irl ball...just my 5 cents.Comment

Re: Mike Wang tweets about 2K20
2k needs to stop playin and just eliminate all individual attribute ratings and replace them with just 1 overall rating number that you can move up and down and 150 badges. This is what the target audience cares about.
Lol
I mean come on, a BOX badge? WTF is the boxout rating for? When he said they revamped badges I was hoping there was more of a focus on creating badges for things there arent ratings for rather than just double down on redundancy. But it makes sense as Ive never seen a park/mycareer player ever once complain about a contested 3 rating but lord knows he loud about that deadeye badge.
And before anyone says "oh they have unique animations," then OK let them have unique animations but stop with the artificial boosts that break the ratings scale!
The removal of the charge card badge is a perfect representation of where their mindset is at. YES I KNOW charge card didnt work in 19, but rather than make a badge work that represents a skill for which there is no rating for (only a tendency) they REMOVE it because "nobody in mycareer wants that badge."
I just wish badges would exist apart in mycareer, park and pro am where they belong and have a roster team that is focused on creating better ratings for NBA players.Die hard Heat and Dolphins fan since '89

Any sports games with these types of abilities/badges, I feel they double down. It's different from a game like APF where those abilities pretty dictated gameplay. I feel like ratings should cover most of these badges. I feel that badges should be something that the ratings can't really cover. Even like Post Move Lockdown. The Post defense rating should cover that. But the same time, I like the idea of Pick Dodger. I get that this is primarily for MyCareer/Park/Pro-Am. But even as a offline MyCareer player, I feel that if they just bring back ability to upgrade individual attributes, there wouldn't be a need for most of the badges.
I just don't want badges to completely overshadow ratings.Comment

Why would you remove a badge that actually represents a skill in the NBA because of MyCareer/Park players? *** backwards logic from a development team that is making a NBA simulation game.
I am happy some of these badges are back (especially since they'll help separate the skill level of certain players), but fixing charge/block logic should have been the priority. Not just outright removing the badge because it "won't be used" by the MyPlayer crowd.

Re: Mike Wang tweets about 2K20
Posterizer has been replaced by Contact Finisher. Mike says it helps dunkers posterize and smaller people finish around contact. I guess it will work like how Finisher use to work. Only thing how it affects small players. If a guard has contact finisher and giant slayer, would he have a double boost at finishing with contact.
I like this for guys like prime tony Parker, Celtics Isaiah Thomas, and Lowry. The past 2Ks anytime a small guard would get a layup it would get blocked. Hopefully players like that can have a bigger impact.

Box and Worm = Boxout rating
Post move lockdown= Post Defense IQ
Clamps = On Ball D coupled with Lateral Quickness
Deadeye = Contested 3/mid
Rim Protector = Shot Contest
Difficult Shots = Moving Mid
Posterizer = Contact Dunk
Interceptor = Pass Perception
Pick Pocket = Steal
I may be forgetting a few and Idk what new ones they cooked up besides those 5 new ones there.Die hard Heat and Dolphins fan since '89

I feel only a few badges are actually necessaryComment

Re: Mike Wang tweets about 2K20
Quick first step doesn’t equal speed with ball.
From what they have said about the badge, it not only works with the first step of the dribble, but also on the new (or brought back) off ball moves.
Speed with ball is just that, how fast you can move while dribbling the ball. You can have a quick first step, yet be slow while dribbling.
PS. I’m not trying to start an argument, just giving my opinion.

Re: Mike Wang tweets about 2K20
I'm my world, the number of badges would be drastically reduced and they'd be a lot stingier with who they give them to...but I absolutely don't want them going anywhere. Badges seem to be a catch-all for some peoples issues with gameplay and I feel it's a bit unwarranted. They really do give players individuality that static ratings can't alway's capture.Comment
