On a scale of 0-100. 0 being no defense, 100 being completely smothered. At what point should green releases be locked out?Jordan Mychal Lemos

Re: Mike Wang tweets about 2K20
I wish Green Releases just meant the highest probability possible for a shooter of that rating to make the basket. Maybe 70 percent for a really great shooter who’s open. As the timing gets worse, you move closer to the floor. Maybe 30% for an open great shooter with god awful timing.Comment

100 because smothered greens took skill that’s why 2k18 was the best
I can already see the "Bruh I was only 30 percent contested how did I miss that shot!?!?!?" type complaints.Last edited by Hustle Westbrook; 08-07-2019, 12:16 AM.Comment

What's surprising is that very few of the replies have taken that stance. I'm pretty stunned that so many of the respondents are not only amenable to the idea, but most seem to be saying 70-75%. I don't think that they have the will to actually do implement that "low" a percentage though.Jordan Mychal Lemos

It worries me a bit when Mike has to ask questions like this...
Shouldn't he know the answer? lol
On the other hand, I'm glad he is interacting with the community.⛹🏽💀

-Penalties for bad shot timing are stronger further from the hoop, it won't affect layups much but badly timed 3's will brick alot.Comment

I just don’t get it. Most people are saying 70% or more before you can’t get a green and that’s likely a number that 2k will lean towards.
If you are guarded at all, you should never get a guaranteed make, or imo guarded or not. Sure, you can still make the shot, but a guarantee?
The problem with green lights is about to get worse!
70% is pretty damn good defense for someone to get a guaranteed make, especially when jumpshot timing is so easy and some bases so OP.
I must be getting too old for gaming. Smh.

“Clamps” is a real life term used for hoopers when somebody is getting locked up though....

This is one of the worst ideas I’ve seen Mike come up with. 100% green release being makes is already unrealistic but everyone is pretty much used to it now but everyone being able to see your shot meter is AWFUL.
A lot of people are saying your teammates should see it but even they shouldn’t be able to see it. Super silly that nobody will go for a rebound because we all know it’s going in. How silly is this?
Game winners would be less exciting. Someone shoots a green GW and while the shot is in the air everyone knows it’s good. Someone shoots a very bad release and everyone knows that as well. Just a very very silly decision by Mike.
